Do you think 1.5mod is the smallest pitch gear that will work? I tried doing the math but didn’t think it could work, my hat is off and my head open…

67 fastback cuda. Was gonna be my dad’s last race car. He had it gutted and put a cage in it 10 years before and sold it. Pulled my 340 outta my duster freshened it and ran it 2 seasons. Notice the radiator in the back window. We’d have 60 car car counts for Saturday night event. There were very few Mopars running. we were at top five car every night. Tortion bars baby

It depends on the wheel size your gonna try and put on your 2200kv motor and the watt or amp that motor can take. Then factor the gear ratio to make it live.

Hey, anyone know any prominent skate wheel manufacturers out there who would be willing to work with a fella to develop the next esk8 road race wheel that does not exist yet.

Id be interested to see how these perform. Im guessing that without the side wall flex they wouldnt be quite as grippy.
Good ol fashioned trial and error brother. Test fail tweak it and test again till we get it right. Once we nail it down who ever has the wheel will have the race.

Don’t mean to interrupt the thread but you can still get a pretty bad concussion from a low speed crash with a motorcycle helmet. DH helmets crush under impact like a bicycle helmet.

Correct, helmet will only save your skull from splitting apart but won’t save your brain from concussion otherwise known as traumatic brain injuries (tbi). There’s even cases where tbi leading to other problems such as Parkinson or Alzheimer. Our sport really isn’t for the weak hearted

You n me Mike will be racing wheelchairs in the nursing home at 55. Honestly any blunt force trauma to the head is bad for the brain. Had I been wearing my sk8 helmet an ambulance would have been called that day gaurenteed.

haha well race those wheelchairs up pikes peek!! My helmet save my life quite a few times also. but no telling what long term effects will be. I already feeling dumber this year.

Honestly it’s a rc car tire stretched over a urethane wheel. It’s what I would call a rendering to get people’s gears turning in their brains. If no one steps up and tries we don’t move towards a grippier wheel for road course racing our esk8’s.
I think this could work if you shaped the outside edges of the urethane and then used some kind of spring clip or ring to retain the rubber in place.
