Not sure if it contributed to the heat, but I was running full sensored. I’ve switched to hybrid so I’ll see how it is on Monday.

That looks really cool, @Jinra!! Dual diagonal! What an interesting blend of Evolve wheels, Enertion mounts/Battery and Ollinboardco motors and VESC! I love it! It sounds like a solid beast of a board!

Thanks! I’m surprised by how well everything ended up working together. I’ve been tinkering with all the mechanical parts for the past couple months while waiting for the SCP4, but once I got it, I just drilled some holes, mounted it, and everything was pretty smooth from there.

The only issue I had was the random cut off when accelerating, but I think I fixed it by changing to hybrid mode (vs sensored).

I haven’t had a chance to mill them down on the lathe yet. My old lathe was having some issues. I received a new lathe on Monday and should have it up an running in a few days, it looks like we are going to have plenty of room!

Nice video! That was a pretty solid climb. BTW Thank you for not making a video with a selfie stick. Those kind of videos make me feel seasick. LOL I know what people are going to want to know… Did the motors get hot? VESC?

After a year of refinement you can count on us having a well balanced system, definitely not going to get hot doing a run like this!

Hey, looks awesome! How many km on flat would I hit with a 200kv mono? And what kinda hills would it climb. I’m 190. Im building this board for my friends to use and I already have a pro 4 battery.

Best to keep your gear ratio down so you only reach a 20 mph top speed on a single drive setup. This goes for almost any size motor unless you have an ESC that can handle the load. These 5065 motor are a perfect match for the v4.12 vesc, Go larger and you run into overheat issues.

I normally ride with taller gearing but I did that run with the stock freeride setup. We will go public with all the specs when we release our drivetrain.
