@Deodand I was able to capture a few errors I’ve been dealing with, hopefully you can help.

When letting off of throttle and then re-engaging, I often get the sound of the motor clicking and then not responding. I notice the unity throws off a flashing light whenever this happens. It has happened on 3 remotes now.

Particularly scary when throttle doesn’t re-engage when I need to stop.

Hi all - after a long winter and other distractions, finally getting around to setting up my Unity.

I was reading here on the forum, that I should not update the Firmware??? Is that right?

Whereas when I try to go to Motor Settings, I getting this prompt- and cannot proceed…

Sorry if this has been answered…

You are using the proper tool for the hardware you have. You can proceed to update the firmware.

Enough talk about that damn warranty…

This is how the unity should have come in the first place for diy builders.

Longer motor wires, 4mm banana plugs, Xt90

No warranty I know… But this is a DIY builders forum, I am the warranty… IMG_20190407_100843609

Hey y’all was finally able to try and set up my unity but I can’t get the thing to connect to my desktop via USB-C. Tried some different cables and ports on my computer but it’s like its not there.

We urgently need answers to all above questions iso some of the questions. Had stuttering yesterday too. Will firstly lower the amp values and try again. Ah and look for the traction control (thought it was always on, seems not haha)

Hey guys, I’m using the Unity on my Mountainboard Build and almost suffered a horrible crash today because of a sudden cutout at hard accelerating like @mackann told.

I guess I almost had 45km/h+ on the clock so it did occur quite late. But yeah threw me off almost, glad I hat my bindings… Also I have these stutters when full accelerating from a dead stop sometimes.

My settings are:

  • Motor Max 80A
  • Battery Max 60A
  • Motor Min -60A
  • Battery Min -30A

So I guess the settings are quite conservative.

Does anyone have found out more about these problems?

I’m a bit scared now to try again and try to reproduce the error…

Did you hook it up to a charged battery?

Yeah we are investigating this, it’s currently my number one priority. What motors are you running? Can you share a screenshot of your motor config?

Were you able to check faults as mackann?

lol yes, always good to start with the basics though. I ended up contacting Enertion support through the site. I think the usb-c connector is bad. Hopefully they will take care of it. The box had one noticeable dent in it so maybe it’s USPS’s doing

You’re using tha usb A to usb C cable that came in the box?

Yessir, tried the one that came with my pixel 2 phone too.

device show up in the control panel when you plug/unplug?

Tbh I would have to double check that. But I don’t believe so. In the FOCBOX tool only COM 1 shows up and gives the error “Cannot read firmware. Please make sure port is assigned to focbox” or something like that.
