Yeah I know, terrible, but I was really trying to stay out of the mtb space, have enough builds going with the skate stuff! The LaCroix stuff was too attractive and too good a price. My excuses of MBS stuff not being availabl are starting to dry up!
Hey Dude,
your shopping list looks good IMO
Motor looks great, 6384, sealed, sensored, 8mm Shaft, cool i like it.
with the 1:5 gearing it will be have a calculated topspeed of around 60kmh
thats fast (-; but i have several similar setups in the past, will work!
Yes, correct, 8mm is the Motorshaft size!
Excact if you want to have the front the same width you need them.
Just have to wait for my original 5:1 E-TOXX gear drive to show signs of wear, but it’s going strong.
P.S.perhaps offer AS504 modules? It would appear that these require some modifications that many are most likely not comfortable with? There is talk of removing filters/resistors when using the development board (preventing cross-talk, etc.).
Yeah maybe you have to wait a bit longer (-; normaly they hold up long
Yeah we will, its just nicer for average customer not to mess up with the required modification of the AS5047 Development Board. Its no rocketscience but for unexpierenced builders maybe better to get the Encoder ready to go.
Another question to this topic: would you tell us the supplier for the helical gears you use. I cannot find them in mädlers cataloge.
im intetested to use them on ebike projects im planning
@Nowind what’s the purpose of the metal inlay? if I understood correctly you are not using a rubber seal between the housing and gear, is that right?
I ask because I’m finishing the design of my drive train and will use a rubber seal mounted on a 3D printed housing that will make contact with a metal space that is attached directly to the gear
what seal do you use? v-rings? do they make contact with the pom gear, or is there metal can between gear and seal? had once a pom gear partly melted because of the friction with a v-ring:/
