E-Toxx DirectDrive VS Trampa Vesc6 VS Leopard 8072-170kv VS Nowind

How big is the torque difference from stepping up to a 80mm motor from a 63mm?

Are you already riding 63mm Dual MTB setup ? Cause the difference might be hard to describe if you have no reference.

like i told i use 2X ~135KV 6374 Motors and I’m totally happy in the Austrian Alps. If i push those motors to 2X 2,5KW i cannot stand the Acceleration without adjusting the throttle curve. Otherwise the Board would just overtake/pass my Body. You should take in Count, the bigger motor the more Watts the more torque the less Distance you can go with your batteries.

But dont take me wrong, you might ge a torque freak like Jenso that there is no way around bigger Motors.

Dual 63mm Motors with right KV on good gearing is unbelieveable strong…

Going for 80mm Motors if : -you really a big/heavy guy and living in hot/hilly areas

I do it for science and because i already build so many eMTB´s that it´s get boring with 63mm motors again

Yeah I’m already riding a dual 6374 190kv belt setup with 12s4p.

This will be a primarily street setup for me on 125mm gummies if I go with the 80mm

Hi, how is your liion 12S8P pack performing? Did You have a chance to test full range? Also have a question how much those cell holders add to dimensions of battery pack, from my calculations 12S8P pack with cells just glued together should be a little bit smaller in layout than what I can see at Your pics. I’m thinking about doing battery upgrade and 12S8P pack is one of my options :joy:

Hey @squad yeah i not ride it often before i damage the Leopard. With the Sk3 i have had no fun, and the 80100 dont fit good with my new experiment “steering damper” …

So cant tell you about max range. Cell holders on 18650 is like 21x21x68 You will save “alot” space if you dont use them, even if you shift every secont “P” for the half pitch …

Whats a “Steering Damper” ?

? why, i don’t know if im just a pussy-catty, but my SK3-149KV is not the fastest in End-Speed, but really torquey. Might be that 190KV Sk3 are more Lame if you use Higher KV sk3’s

Do you have a vid of what you are able to get out of the sk3? Are you somehow using these in sensored mode/added sensors? Just wondering what you’re able to get out of these. Have the same motors, but until now have used each at 35A. Removed my anti-spark switch yesterday and upped it to 50. Haven’t tried them out yet.

Sorry missed this (-; I know you know now :innocent:

Coming from 80mm Leos down to 59mm Sk3 was really noticeable, dont liked it.

They are some Vids of mine with SK3 Motors… really good motors, always liked them… only in direct comparsion after weeks of 80mm Leo´s it felt to weak… Yeah Dude rise you AMPS, 35A is really not that much… 80A i would give them at least !

Started the Rebuild with the APS Motors :

Unbelievable how fast a “100mm extendet Hanger” gets to small  Add 100mm long Outrunners and a Steering Damper…

Needet to machine new Motormounts which are a direct fit to the APS Motors without the Adapter :

Also the RC Box is V2, going with a Baseplate which direct fits to the HolyPro Bolting Pattern :

More customer friendly without the need to Drill your brand new Trampa Deck

As you can see my is not brand new :joy:

Mounting Parts for the Steering Damper

Also the Baseplate was modified with two 6mm holes to attach the Mounting bracket :

And finally the new Aliens fittet very well… full tilt no problem :

Hope to get it ready tomorrow :

Cheers

your v2 box is gorgeously brilliant !!! Thanks for sharing again Jenso, thos motor looks absolutly craziest than leos :scream:

Just…wow. Another reminder that I need to save money for a cnc machine.

Could I ask where did you get that extended hanger?

Bloody hell, now I can’t look at my board the same way I did before… that’s some hardcore mountainboard porn, makes me wanna cheat and get another one like Yours, to play with :joy:

I know, that you know, that i know

Thanks Bro. Yeah i think its still a compromise but with the given circumstances of a top located spring adjuster its the best i thought about… no drilling, passive cooling, modular design :

Middle Part,POM, 21mm height, 2 cable entrys on long, 1 on short side

Middle Part, POM, 21mm height, 4 cable entrys on both long sides

Upper Part , POM, 10mm extra inner height,

Upper Part, 7075, lower

Both next eachother

Using sealing parts for the entries :

Will not call it waterproof in no case! But maybe splashproof

The Middle Part gets mountet first with 2 screws from bottom, so its stay in place if you take away the upper LID :

Yeah if you have ideas feel free to comment about :relieved:

Yeah the best hobby of all hobbies, CNC machine… :sunglasses:

Not on sale, its a test how the Board performs with 100mm more width.

Thanks Bro. Really nice from you. Thanks! :kissing_heart: A second Board cant be wrong :sunglasses:

Yeah … ich weiss was du letzten sommer getan hast … lol

Pictures from the progress from today :

prepared the Hub Adapters, fits Trampa Hypa, Trampa 9Inch, Flame Cryptic

Here you see the little “ears” this are the bigger mounting circle for the APS

Vesc´s mounted, cable sealment …

Programmed, 120A MC, 190AC,

Prepared also the fronttruck for Steering Damper :

BTW @squad this are the bushings i made :

Everything mounted for testride with 1000WH 12S

I always love and enjoy to see the evolution of your builds, just have to say WOW! :astonished:

Wow! Just wow! As for bushings those original from Trampa are IGUS?

@Nowind From here it looks like the steering-Damper could hit the motor ? But I’m sure you made sure this will not happen, still does it actually give you more steering radius in the end ?

Do i see it right you use Spring without Dampers inside now ?

I’m relly curious how the steering Dampers perform.

This Things comes to “Perfectness” in my opinion. The only thing i still would change are the “stick-catching-loops” created by teh phase and hall-wires.

It happened several Times to me (when i was riding really offroar cross-country trough the woods) that those loops cought a Stick. My hall Wires ripped several Times until i left them and go sensoreless for now.

I was Thinking about turning my Motors 90 degrees milling around abit and guiding the Wires along the Hanger,

Are they balanced? I mean, the cutouts look like there could be mass disproportion around center of rotation and they could vibrate at higher speeds, unless You calculated it :sunglasses: yeah, You probably did… :slightly_smiling_face:
