That’s nice. How (if you have) did you fix the issue with having the motor “assist” such that you can also pedal?
Complete non Ebike persons question here, but is that a kit or is it all home built?
@wmj259 Two freewheels. One on the chainring; the other on the transmission of the motor. This is standard for a mid-drive ebike. @bigben All home built.
That is really nice. Good work! How much would you say it cost?
Tools and components about 2k. I machined parts myself. It took me a long time but it was tons of fun.
That’s an absolute beauty! Great work. I hope to be able to build a sweet e bike one fine day.
sweet bong dude lol
ahh shoot good eye ~~ need to edit better
@SpeedyGonzales Did u also make this “star / snowflake” shaped battery holders?
Look really nice. Would be interesting to see the battery closer
@Okami Yes, this is one of the kind battery build. I designed it for very specific purpose. I’m planning to take my e-bike with me to other countries by an airplane and I can’t take battery with me, so I built it so I can take the case with all the stuff with me. I will buy cells locally and put it all together without welding or soldering. That will take about 30 minutes. BTW: I call it gatling gun barrel shape.
impressive
Love that idea. I guess this could work for a flat pack also?
Ordered a couple pcb’s gonna 3d print this and chop down some aluminum heat sinks with a miter saw and insert them with epoxy then add a layer of non conductive thermal adhesive. Also I added posts for a 25x25mm fan incase someone needs some extra cooling. It could use these https://www.amazon.com/Gdstime-Small-Plastic-Brushless-Cooling/dp/B01DA3OFZE/ref=sr_1_2?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1514873849&sr=1-2&keywords=5v+25mm+fan
Stl no fan https://drive.google.com/open?id=1ZR4IiuZeFCTZgsCBcaUjrzg024h5d4Uo Stl with fan https://drive.google.com/open?id=16S6ADTb8RXN95BlpL8WluroiPIRqbnT5Now that u show it in close up, it does resemble guns barrel looks very cool / stylish non the less.
I suppose it took quite some time to design the holder and then later on machine all the parts. Otherwise really impressive indeed
It is 1oz on all the layers. Might do 2oz on the next batch but not sure if it is worth it.
That looks amazing!
For all those who filled the google form I will contact you directly.
Where can I buy a kit like that ?
It it possible to buy the whole esc, ready to use? Or do you just sell the pcb’s?
sorry I missed it, I replied now.
I also sell the whole ESCape, ready to use.
What is the price for the ready to use one?
