I just got butt crimps w heatshrink n a crimper that got good reviews on amazon. I’ll do some resistance testing and comparisons w other connection methods. Such low resistance need to use ohms law n two miltimeters. A solder joint is as electrically conductive as if it were a solid uncut n soldered connection if it has an overlap of 3x its diameter. I’d rather crimp

If the contact is already good then it’s just a reinforcement no?

If its a true gasless crimp the solder wouldn’t get in it and there’s also slow flow. With people who have tested solder on top is not as good mechanically

Doesn’t add to conductivity and makes wire brittle and prone to cracking from movement/vibration
