Lol. Maybe I went over kill, I’ll be using 1mm copper for my pack hehe
8ms on 4s battery with the Boss welder. No issues at all. I have built many copper batteries so far.
Hopefully today it’ll be up and running. It sparks when I plug the power in so I’m still a little weird about that. I’m not too sure how to perform surgery on the power input. But it did charge a little and turn on.
Not good Where exactly? When you plug in the charger port or you connect the main power leads to the focbox?
The one that charges the battery. It’s a pre-made eskate battery. I can’t remember the name of it but it used to be popular lol
Hopefully you didn’t get it from diyeboards. Lol. So you plugged it in to charge the battery and it sparked?
Need an antispark? I think I remember you being in NY, so shipping wouldn’t be wild for such a tiny device
Yah man!
Plug the charger into the battery, then plug the charger into the wall?
I don’t think it’s an an antispark issue. But there’s a bunch of glue and stuff on the port so I’m not sure how much fixing I can do to it.
@adman I was at the subsonic shop this sat. Just missed meeting you man. Paul and Anne are wonderful people. How close are you towards a complete deck that can be offered for sale ?
Will try that
But still would be awesome XD
How do you manage to make a pack with this thick copper? I guess soldering?
Ahh okay. Where did you get it and how wide?
These 5 mosfets PCB is Anti Spark?
You need to replace that jack. If you freeze-frame the video you can see the sparks are coming from the bottom of the jack and shooting out around the barrel plug. Something in the jack is shorting-out. Just snip the wires going to it (mark positive and negative) and get rid of that, drill it if you have to. JB Weld a new jack in there with a fuse on it and you should be good to go
