@Mikenopolis

I have not had any issues with dual mount old version of Marc’s mounts. Is it the older version? Believe marc updated his mounts to include a cross bar.

I did have some issues with TB reverse mounts, not the fixed ones. The TB reverse mounts work good after torque and loctite.

my Marc mounts were probably the old stuff, aluminum seems a bit soft, I use blue loctite, torqued it down and let it cure for two days…more like a week before my weekend test ride and it still shifted angles. I just sold it after the TB V5 with cross bars were out.

I bought it from this seller. There are many almost identical all over the different Chinese sites though.

@Blacksheep test it thoroughly under some sort of a load/ equivalent current draw before riding and stay safe.

I agree with you here, these holders are only really designed for 3-5a max draw

and for no means they are designed to operate in a vibrating envirement like esk8.

@brenternet You won’t be disappointed. I’m glad I took the advice of others here, those hex tools are so much better, especially for stuck 2mm grub screws which just strip-out at the slightest provocation

My new Wera’s rescued my build this very afternoon…

Yeah, some of those are huge though. I almost never need anything over 4mm and if I do, stripping is never an issue. Just on those little ones…

The 10mm one feels more akin to a crowbar than a hex wrench

I love them. Only hex wrenches ill use now.

I’ve got a couple of well rounded hex on my back truck, scared to touch them haha. Hopefully this cures that and I can swap them out.

@brenternet If it doesn’t, (but i think they will) you can try taking one of your older hex keys and hammering in the next size up. Honestly these are tough enough to handle the abuse probably

I had to take a dremel and cut an x into a bolt and uae the Phillips head to get a hex head i rounded out with crap keys.
