So the wheel still fits with the added width of an extra bearing? What is the pitch of the gears?
Do you really think it could not fit Mod-2
Is that 2mm pitch or are you referring to this gear company? https://www.technobotsonline.com/mod-2-steel-spur-gears.html
I can only see one website selling mod 2 gears which is the one I posted above
I will figure is out as they supply tooth count and diameter which is enough. Thanks!
Dont know what you want… answered your question already… isnt it
There is a big fat spacer in between the wheel and the rest of the truck. Replace that spacer with a bearing and a washer, problem solved. The rest depends on the mounting system and how far you are able to move it towards the center of the truck.
Ok, that makes a lot of sense. That is what I needed.
Already seeing that the asking price of this direct drive is more than fair by the way. Components wise/developing my own drive, I would already spend around 150 Euro on a solution that I would consider n00b level. Take into account the hours Jens spent developing and refining such a drive, along with needing all the equipment to manufacture at a high precision.
What I can come up with would not be as good as this drive, while spending a good amount of money and time. For science though.
As a follow up…I bought a Jens drive.
Loctite 243 enough, or should I go with 2701 (specifically for the hub screws)?
Hey i missed this …
I take for everything this : http://www.maedler.de/product/1643/1624/569/loctite-243-mittelfeste-schraubensicherung
Except for glueing Motorspurs to Motorshaft, i take this instead : http://www.maedler.de/product/1643/1624/574/loctite-603-oeltolerantes-fuegeprodukt
Hope that helps
Cheers Jens
