Mine overlaps quite a bit. (over an inch)

Awesome, @psychotiller you should be getting an order from me in the next week. MAYBE 2 weeks. Enclosure, battery and maybe a remote. Then Iā€™lll have everything I need to start my build.

Soā€¦ ive been playing with hummies idea of click in style battery for his deckā€¦ Iā€™m gonna have to route out a good inch worth of material maybe more (using the available parts I have on hand that is) but its doableā€¦

@Holyman92 and @Hummie Have you guys considered using copper rivets? I came across this idea a while back. Just need to figure out a way of applying constant pressure with the foam. Maybe attached the rivets to a solid piece of copper?

Iā€™ve stumbled across these on Ali Express, they are even silver coated to improve electric conductivity. There are also a bunch of configurations and some that are threaded.

i may have to give this a tryā€¦ my only concearn is if its too thin and it melts

youve probably seen this image before but this is using copper sheeting and it seems the easiest and safest.

itā€™s just copper sheet thatā€™s been formed on a 3d printed press (that goes in my real arbor press). this seems easier and more reliable than separate rivets. and will add the plastic protector guard as well as in this pic as the copper cuts the cells wrap really easily otherwise.

with the two cells spanning the single 140mm hole there is no way to really secure them and they will bow in the center. i think they need to be held on each side of every cell. when these new boards come in its definitely happening and i got 20 decks with this double cutout 72mm wide by the 585 long.

just got the foam in the mail.

rivets in the side of the deck sounds niceā€¦but the connections between them sound complicated.

Current state of my Hummie Deck:

10s4p Sanyo 8Ah (got 100 cells super cheap on ebay) dual 4.12 VESC dual 5055 280kv, 12:36 gear ratio on hobbyking mounts (will switch to 6355 or better later, bought the 5055 3 years ago) 83mm flywheels Vedder Antispark with 19mm push button TX-90 loop key for redundancy/emergency shut off homemade low profile enclosure with M6 fender washer n threaded insert mini remote w/ receiver borrowed from @jasonbhuynh

yeah I broke one of the 12T motor pulley. It was stuck and I had to pull it off to replace the retaining ring on the motor.

are they real flywheels? Every clone Iā€™ve ever tried felt like crap. I have a lot of real 83mm centrax if youre interested.

Do you not ride with your foot where the lcd and power button is!?

@Hummie they are probably clones. These are my first set of wheels so I donā€™t know the difference yet. If you have a set on a board I can try, I might be interested. Are those for your V4 hub? if they are, I took over someoneā€™s spot so I guess I will be able to try them soon.

@Mikenopolis they kinda are. Power button wonā€™t matter unless I take off my shoes and stick my toes into the sock. the voltage meter sitā€™s right at the very end of the enclosure cutout and looks nice right next to the power button. Now that you pointed it out I guess I couldā€™ve put it to the long side. Power button would still be at a corner of the enclosure cutout tho.

I would be interested in buying some Centrax, I donā€™t have an eboard atm so Iā€™m back to good old fashion pushing. What would you charge for a set of 4

@Hummie how much are you selling a set for?

Iā€™ll sell an older deck in great shape (put it together and broke it back down) for 100 including shipping. the wheels i can add to the deck for 60$.

Iā€™m interested in getting a deck with a set of Centrax at this price bro  hit me up with the feetā€™s and Iā€™ll get a payment to you

Hey Bigben! After checking out these Hummie decks which no doubt lots of people are liking here, how much for a deck+ enclosure? Could it fit a 10s6p? whats the dimensions and does it have some concave to it?

Edit: nvm I scrolled up abit to see some photos with various battery configs. Would it fit a bestech 80a 10s bms with anti-spark and voltage indicators as well? Iā€™m thinking either still going dual ESCapes or maybe waiting on the Focbox unity pre-sale so not sure what Vesc I wanna go with yet

Itā€™s starting to look like it would be worth it to do a group buy from Ben for all the enclosures people seem to wantā€¦
