Can I increase the app’s maximum display speed with the next update? 55 kph is the highest speed now.

Appears that my switch was bad, put a jumper on the switch pins and works now… Both Bluetooth and my board. @venom121212 @Deodand

I’m having a weird issue.

When I connect to the Unity via it’s Android app to monitor real-time current values, it always gets stuck after a few seconds ( looses connection ) and I have to manually press disconnect and then connect again. Tried 4 phones, always the same problem.

It seems to be related to throttle input - when the board is idle, everything is fine, connection is stable but once I push on the throttle stick, it looses connection and gets stuck at whatever values it measured last. It’s very inconsistent. Sometimes, 1-2 fast bursts ( full throttle ) is enough to kill the connection, other times even slow motor movement over period of time will kill it.

I’m talking about bench tests here ( so no actual load, but accelarating/braking while the board is loaded causes the connection to break too ). Power source is not an issue ( 10S4P 30Q / 8S 5Ah 45C LiPo ).
Any idea what could be causing that/how to fix it? Other than that, the ESC works fine.

You try the latest app update for it? I have a bit of a workaround for the issue implemented which allows it to reconnect.

Reinstalled the app, now it reconnects automatically again in 2~3 seconds.
Do you have an idea what’s causing the BLE to disconnect in the first place?

Yeah, think it has something to do with noise passed to the module somehow. The module has a ferrite bead between the ground plane but maybe more isolation is needed is what I have been thinking. High current spikes seem to cause momentary disconnect which can cause a buffer overflow. The patch fixes this so it reconnects smoothly.

I have designed out a new module with additional isolation to test and an independent voltage regulator. Should help us track down the issue. I’ll let you guys know when I know more. Luckily it still works for the most part as is and is a modular component if a swap fixes the issue.

Will you eventually ship fixed modules to those of us who are having troubles with it?

would like to attach a new heat sink to all kinds of threads. Does anyone know the exact dimensions? 6 pcs. i need…

You’d want to attach the heat by these 4 M3 blind holes

Would you like to screw the heat sink to the 4 m3 (marked by you) and additionally to the 3 other screws

The other 3 screws are the mount for the pcb, already occupied holes

are there seriously no other options? a 30$ shipping fee just for a little battery meter?

seriously

would you mind telling where you get your meters from? (non assembled?)

If you pm me you can get it non tracked for 7usd or tracked for 15usd, the problem is my shipping system dont support or cant calculate product mail, only calculate on boxes.

I’m running the latest FW from Enertion on my Unity, however there is a lost feature I loved from my dual FocBox with @ackmaniac FW, when braking coming to a dead stop you lifted the trigger and brake again to go reverse.

Is this feature hidden somewhere on the Enertion Android app?

I think this is the special sauce that does that, and unity FW has no equivalent code right now in the same place. It looks reasonably contained and could be ported over.

It’s a long time ago I know, but just thought I would say it anyway.

I have just been in contact with support and was told that I can ONLY swap the XT-60 without ruining the warranty. Changing bullet connectors, wires, etc. will void it.

I don’t even know anymore what can be done or not…

I’m not often moved to write a post like this but… I’ve just wired up the unity on my build (upgrade from dual focbox/canbus). Turned on, connected, installed new firmware, ran guided setup and applied settings.

Everything worked perfectly, no glitches, no messing around swapping phase wires etc

Just worked.

I like that

Well that’s interesting, I was told directly by Enertion support that not only does it do cell balancing but will do it on both charge and discharge. Is this a new thing? Or was that guy just full of sh*t?

Can anyone recommend a good discharge BMS to pair with the Unity? Looking to draw around 150A peak on a dual-motor rig, probably 60A ish continuous
