Bushing Set up Help

Venoms formulas are very different from ours, especially WFB (white residue sometimes present), for a further discussion of our formulas, go here: https://www.riptidesports.com/aps-krank-wfb-explained/ I default to KranK since I have spent so much time on it and it is very forgiving, stable and adjustable for me but that is a personal choice as with all formulas. I would suggest trying APS at the same duro as you Venoms or slightly higher, if you want to try WFB, definitely choose a higher duro or a bigger shape!

Based on what I can see about the trucks you should be able to fit our Cones, Barrels, Canons and FatCones but not the Magnum or Chubby. Can you confirm the height of the bushings so we can know what height will fit without changing the geometry?

If this is the case it seems like going fatcone/barrel barrel/regular cone all 93a was a bad suggestion. I thought wheels were expensive but I’ve got 50 bucks in riptide and 40 on venoms. Almost 100 bucks for such a small amount of thane. I’m liking the low rebound of the venoms HPF formula, their lower rebound compound. And then you recommended the highest rebound formula you have…

Why is their hpf so different than wfb or aps?

Formulations are very different as are people’s preferences. Like wine and beer, you need to drink some to find what you like and I think you like Venom HPF so you should stick with it.

Hi! Thanks in advance.

Running Haggy Board Trucks and the standard bushings, feels a bit unstable for me at 20mph+. What would you recommend for riding at those speeds to have a stable ride and good carving too? I am 165 lbs. thanks!

OK @pundahh, the Kahuna trucks fit our Cones, Canons, and Magnums quite well. Was your set supplied with a barrel / barrel or Cone / barrel setup?

Right now it’s a double barrel on the front and back.

OK, cupped washers all around correct? If so, try setting up the front with flat washers and keep the cupped in the back

They are flat washers all around

OK then change the back to cupped washers. The idea is to create a resistance differential to stabilize the setup, allowing the front to be looser than the rear

Alright I’ll give it a shot and report back

Brad, are you coming out to Colorado?

No, we will not be able to make it to Colorado this time, nor France. Too many things to to do here production wise.
