New builder? LIST OF KNOWN AND COMMONLY USED PARTS!

sounds amazing!

Me likey @evoheyax :+1:t2:

Awesome configuration tool build!

anyone have experience with this? any better alternatives?

This is the one @longhairedboy uses for his builds

Would add ollinboard decks/components. Also I think longhairedboy now has enclosures he is making as well (or outsourcing?).

yep they work great. I have a tiny drawer full of them now.

ordered 1, looking forward to it!

Can we add chargers to the list? 6S, 10S and 12S chargers?

Great idea. Do you have any particular chargers in mind to add?

iMax B6 and iMax B6 V2

Great post for newbies like me!

Here’s a common/decent 10S charger for builds with a BMS from SuPower.

10S Brick Charger

How would one use this to charge Lion batteries? If I do a 6s4p battery setup with Samsung 18650s, would this be able to charge it? Thanks

No it wouldn’t. This is charging the pack to a much higher voltage as denoted by 10S vs 6S. I am sure there is a plentiful amount of brick style 6S chargers. Usually the lower the voltage the more common it is to find em.

You might to make sure you have a BMS to charge with this charger. The BMS will balance your individual series up packs and will make sure the pack is charged at a safe Voltage and Current.

What is BMS?

battery management system

As Link said, it stands for Battery Management System. It basically makes sure that the battery is not overcharged or over discharged. BMS units can also balance the parallel packs in a battery. It essentially keeps your battery within safe operating limits for you.

These guys make some decent BMS units: http://bestechpower.com/

How can you prove it?
