Berlin would have the advantage of Tempelhof, the former airport right in the center. Now a park, you have two runways, each 2Km long and a circular taxiway, 6.5km long. All smooth and nice. Google map it! We also have the skate nights, a legal way to e-skate 30Km through town, escorted by police blocking the roads just in time.
Also think of this: If you want to change laws you got to show up and demonstrate, do media coverage etc. So Its probably best to do the event in NY or Berlin. Two towns with strong links and internationally known. Ny is very expensive BTW. California is nice but you guys already have a law allowing e-boarding. Nothing to gainā¦ Berlin has the media and the government. Germany has a program to fund e-mobility and a car industry of scale, looking for innovative stuff for marketing their future e-strategy. Tempelhof is btw the location of the e-mobility summits in Germany. The formula-e does a stopover in Berlin etc.
I would suggest to think in this way: Where would such a event have the biggest impact.

Letās get a list of volunteers in NYC because they will be key in making this work.
Or mayby a meet up per continent. I mean ther is no way I and my group could make the trip to the USA. ā¦ So simultaniously a meet up in NYC and another one in central europe mayby ?

What @smurf suggest is piggy backing on already called for event. I think thatās the best option at this point

Someone see if the dew tour people would be interested in helping us or filming our race.
EDIT: Found PS: after a talk with the guys from Carvon I started talking with this event.
It is a freestyle Festivel, with park skating, streetskating, bowl and pipe. And they seemed intrigued by the idea to have the first open race/competition for E-boarding. But talks are slow with them. Could be an alternativ mayby for poeple around switzerlandā¦

Making a simultaneous meting would only decrease the number of participants and drag this meeting to a hole.
Iād suggest to do the meeting once a year or every six months with different bases, next meeting would definitely be in EU
I would be in for sure. I live in Colorado, and would love to ride in somewhere over seasā¦Australia sounds like a fun destination!

You should make that in june not in may! We have school in may 
I think Vegas or SoCal. Vegas would be way cheaper airfare for everyone having to fly.
