E-MTB Drive Gear with Spur Gears "Directdrive"

Yes i will give it a try for sure. It will bring the costs down for some parts. Other Parts will stay the same which are not cheap itself… like the Gears.

You mean cleaning ? I use compressed air on the wet mud, works very nice!

Thank you David. I have to check this, will let you know soon!

Are any sets still available?

Yes got some left, where are you located ?

@DavidC I checked the wheight of the 3 Drives :

Dual Chaindrive (missing some screws and motorsprocket) around 1100Gramms RTR

Dual Beltdrive around 1300Gramms RTR

Dual Direct Drive around 1560Gramms RTR ( shown wheight on scale is SingleDrive)

So its the heaviest of the Drives actually, but all parts are massive and super sturdy.

Cheers Jenso

To be honest i barely see no sign of wear :+1: Using some “High Power Grease” its spray and gets into nice wax and sticks like hell. For the V-Ring i use some Teflon Spray.

Like IT :slight_smile:

As i mentioned i have worked on bringing costs down to bring this amazing Drivetrain to more People !

No compromises inside : Same POM and Steel Gears, same POM Gearbox. Instead of 10mm 7075 Aluminium now 3mm Stainless Steel Instead of 3mm CF now 1mm Stainless Steel 10mm wide clamping Area out of 7075 Reduced amount of Treads, using more nuts… save money too !

Have a look :

Let me know what you think

Price for Non EU like US : 415€ shipping 35€ Price EU : 499€ includet sipping

Hi Jens! Very nice as usual!

So this is the economic version? What is the cons compared to the premium version. The economic version is heavier maybe?

The price is totally fair IMO. I just wondered, why is it a little more expensive for non EU than EU? Because of VAT maybe?

Thanks David.

So yeah its the Economic (-; But there will only be this version from now on ! Why? Because they are no really downsides! No need to spend more time on the CNC … no need to spend more money for this time on CNC.

Know what i mean? Why make parts more expensive then nessassary? Its no compromise in function! Only in design IMO for fans of milled Aluminium maybe a downside (-; These guys can get the Aluminium Version of course on request.

Its also possible to use CF on request, but best bang for the buck will this stainless parts… also the non thermal feature of CF is a downside for Motormounts IMO.

Yes the reason is VAT. Thats why its more expensive for EU customers.

Its slightly heavier, but only about 90gramms…

Best Greetz

And waht do you Think about 7075 3mm sheets instead of the Stainless Steel. Must be strong enough too ?!? but probbly just a few gramms to save there.

Beautiful Design again Jenso !!

greets

Gernot

I totally agree with you. I think my next mountainboard will use these and VESC6 (maybe).

I think you’re right to use the VERTIGO hanger and not the ULTIMATE hanger for this. The 9.525 mm bearings don’t fit perfectly the 9.525 mm axles of the ULTIMATE. There’s some kind of little gap, that doesn’t exist with 12 mm bearings/axles. Weird…

Thank you Gernot.

I dont think that it is strong enough to go with 3mm 7075… Dont forget that you will have sometimes ground contacts and that inside gears are working which needs proper mesh… imo 3mm Aluminium is to flexy.

I have made not the best expierence with the Ultimate Trucks in Electric MTB´s, one bent and one broke. Dont use them anymore. Only Vertigo Trucks.

I remember that these problems were with ultimate atb SKATE trucks, am I wrong?

I have two e-mtbds with ultimate atb SPRING trucks and none of them failed this way (I weigh 85 kg). But I have to admit I’m little less brutal than you with them. :wink:

Unfortunaly i damaged both kind… SKATE and SPRING

This are the springs:

Its like Trampa says, Ultimate are more for the KLB people or/and lightweight ones (-;

So the axle for these does not go all the way through?

I saw a ‘‘skate’’ axle and for it ther axle was one long piece… for these it looks like there are 2 seperate axles for each wheel / side… is this correct?

They are pressed in from two sides, so yes 2.

Some more Parts which are used for the Eco Drive :

Combination of Steel and POM :

Axial Sealment of the gearbox :

Have a nice day (-;

I always get slightly aroused when I see pictures of your work :smiley:

I would love to get these motor mounts at some point, but no funds at the moment :frowning:

I know this is a bit off topic, but would love to see some pictures of your workshop and your machines

Thank you @stylr (-:

Will take some pictures of the shop… dont except any big :wink:

Shrinked the Trucks and Mounts (-;

In front the Urban/Street Carver Trucks with smaller Gearbox…

Small enough to ride on the pure Hub :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Ready for upcoming 125mm Urethan Wheels from @Trampa Fits to 7 and 8 Inch pneumatics on Superstar Hubs Made for Street Carver / Urban Carver Trucks Fits also on MTB Trucks :kissing_smiling_eyes:
