What 3D/CAD models do you need? 3D files CAD request thread

Where can i find the STL file for the mudguard? Thx!

Which program do you use? In use rhino5 but i need to learn more

It’s in the Google drive folder.

I used solidworks. I can try to save files in the format that you want.

I have solidworks files in the Google drive but no STL yet. I’ll create an STL for you but what wheel dia are you using?

Is Solidworks easy or hard to learn? Can it make .stl or .obj files?

Cool thx! I use 83mm Wheels but I can use your 90mm design and I also use 97mm Wheels in the near future. This will be my mail Wheel for flying over cracks in the crappy roads

I imported the designs in fusion360 and saved them as STL for printing. Print came out really nice. Good job on the design! Now for some parts to arrive before I can test fit.

When fit is good I can cut it out in carbon fiber and aluminum.

Looks nice, but there are problems with the design

  1. The pulley cover has some structural problem(the part surrounding the wheel pulley has no support) and I am fixing right now
  2. The pulley cover is tested in assembly only for the 40T snapin pulley that I made.
  3. None of the holes are threaded, so I don’t know how you will assemble the whole thing on your trucks

I’ll create stl files named appropriately for you in the respective folders. The problem with the mud guard is that how do you make sure that it doesn’t slip and gets run over by the wheels? Any ideas?

Looking forward to see the changes you are making. I won’t go over 40T for now so that should not be an issue for me at this moment.

Unless I am missing something, I threaded the holes myself, no need to have that in the design. M4 seems to work fine so far.

Very good Point. Didn’t tought of that. Those nuts are not thight enough to Keep the mudguards above the wheels. Not an ideal situation for the bearing because of the drag. Got to think about it. Maybe I try something raw in 123D design and send it to you but I am not a good designer

Mud guard need to have a little hanger going to the holes on the motor mount to hold it in place maybe?

Can you make the hole for the motor shaft larger? The shaft on my motor is 8mm but the bottom is 10mm so I am not able to mount it.

What motor are you using? I made that for DIY’s 6355 motors. I should design a different mount if you have a different motor.

I have the motor from Stealth motor group buy. It’s the 6374 The mounting holes seem to be fine, just the hole for the shaft is around 2mm too small. Might not be bad to make it 3mm larger to cover more motor types.

Can you just post a photo for reference.

Here you go…

@mishrasubhransu - He has the 6374 motor and it’s 10mm and steps down to 8mm. 6355 is 8mm all the way through. For other motors it would also need to clear the cir-clip which can be almost 12mm diameter.

That is exactly right. The clip however seems to need a clearance of about 15mm but it’s about the same height as where the motor mounts. So I am not sure if it would rub and needs to be cleared.
