Use this to help calculate

Yea used one of them earlier get about 23-25mph but obviously loose a little when in use.

Yes that is why you add 70-75 efficient numbers

Yea I added 60% as I’m not in an area that’s got the best payment or roads. Still get 14-17mph but looking at different size wheels and what gearing to go with as will be printing my pulleys so can play about with the ratio

Hobby King are out of stock of the 6374 245kv so seen this one is it any good compared to the sk3

Or do o get the sk3 6364 190kv but get less speed and probably less run time. But it’s on back order anyway.

Shaft size is not 8mm

Is that much of an issue bearing in mind I will be 3D printing my first lot of pinions. Also have a pillar drill is needed to drill an ally one.

It’s all abt the parts and getting them…if u have a pulley that will work the. By all means

Yea will design and print one for now but have found a 15t pulley on eBay in aluminium with 10mm bore so can always get that.

Would that be a half decent gear ratio to have not to much strain no the motor.

Hey bro!! Check out @chaka’s new motors too!! http://www.ollinboardcompany.com/product/om5065-200kv Very affordable and nice specs!! They are also designed with better protection from flying rocks, sand, and other motor killing shite! 10% off until the end of the month with code: OM5065 https://www.instagram.com/p/BFnCY7GStkv/ http://www.ollinboardcompany.com/product/om5065-200kv Once I figure out how many I want, I’m going to get some of these!!

Ugh I’m got the 170kv and think of getting another maybe the 200kv

I’m going 200kv because I’m running at 10s, but I am seriously considering the 170kv to try 12s.

@chaka is like “170kv has better blah blah” and I’m like I dunno what to do…lol

Lol you find it confusing And have been here longer I’m still trying to figure out the right size motor :stuck_out_tongue: 15t pulley with a 30t drive wheel ok for the 245kv or would it be to much for the motor.

It’s a matter of want…not need

Yea suppose I just don’t want to kill the motor obviously that ratio will give me more speed but if it’s going to kill the motor would rather go 36t drive and have less speed and more torqu.

If I went 10s with the 200kv would be the same if I went 12s at 170kv using the same 18/36 interms of top speed… I’ll prob stick with 12s config for the torque … But we shall see

Yea know what your saying. Will defiantly using 6s with 245kv now as its ordered just figuring out the gearing. Is there a nice sweat spot in gear ratios that seem to work well with the right size wheels?
