It was Open Streets Manatee https://www.openstreetsmanatee.com/

Managed to get a free booth and gave out over 100 demos all day. Kids loved it, adults were scarred. We pushed the idea of commuting and riding with your friends on a hot day. Which in Florida is very common.

Quite a few were interested in some Christmas riptides, and 1 or 2 in building a full custom.

Planning was pretty easy, grabbed all my boards, tent, table, chairs, made a sign one night. Got my friends to show up and help. Demo’s seem to run in waves as a family would come through and all want a ride at once.

were you charging the boards the whole time?

did you take any collateral, ie driver’s license, cell phone, to prevent theft?

yea…or something bigger…

working on it.

The onewheel got a little top off, but I was using it to move the tent and chairs from the parking lot. (And chasing people for day footage) Raptor 2 ended the day at 92%. Riptides were maybe 75%. Onewheel would have made it just fine with the two-x but the power was there, might as well charge.

No collateral, just good vibes and keeping an eye on where they were riding. If someone went too far we would go out and check if they were ok. We kept all the boards in low power mode for safety and easily catchable reasons.

I need this in my life. cant be long till your making your own complete trucks designed for gear drive and it ends up costing me a lot of money :frowning:

Those are not only for our gear drives  These will fit original baseplate + springs and will not use bushings for kingpin
