Gotcha. If you do decide to go with it, do use the newer files.

Thank you. Still need to do some reading and see if this is something I feel comfortable taking on haha

@mutantbass This is 100 times easier than the mod I did. I love this.

I would solder those together though and not rely on that bolt to not come loose while riding.

 I actually wanna do your mod but I dont have a backup remote so dont want to risk dremeling this one until I get a backup just in case. This will still require taking the battery out and putting it on a charger which is not bad every few weeks.

I actually have a nylon locknut on the screw in the middle but solder would have worked too. Forgot to take a photo of it.

Don’t forget if you do I have a free cell. Although if you’re in EU it’s very very likely the shipping cost would negate any benefit. I wish this was a 14500  :sob:

Even if you did my mod, putting a 14500 cell in the built-in holder would be far easier

The 14500 I have doesnt have a nipple on the positive side so its ever so slightly too short to touch the contact in the battery holder. So you have t either put a tiny bit of solder on the contact or stick a nickel plate in between. I think the best would to get a 14500 button top or whatever they are called.

Let me ask the noob question. What is the advantage of doing this instead of just using two rechargeable AA cells?

You can say it’s “converted to lithium”. That’s the advantage.

And in my case, I don’t need a AA charger, but only a mobile phone charger, which are everywhere

Although I’ve needed to recharge it once in 1.2 years and I use it all the time. Almost daily.

Hey Markus sorry to read this, everytime I see an insane injury it’s always you :fearful: hope you get well sooner than expected.

On a side note, your enclosures are ready to ship.

@okp what Wheels are those?

Thanks @Skunk, now the real question, who is making these wheel pullies?

Both @okp & @chaka are working on them atm as far as I know

I’ll keep an eye on them, that’s what I’ve been waiting for a while, a really wide contact patch with low durometer.

I’ll order the wheels even if no pulleys are available yet, amazing find

Just ran across this again.

I wish I could have given it another like.

Very artful.

At first I couldn’t understand why everyone liked a selfie so damn much. But then I thought, “well, Mike does look pretty cute in this, so happy”.

Then I saw it. Mind you this all happened in a matter of seconds.
