8 pieces you mean 8 halves of hubs, so 4 complete hubs for 420aud+ etc?
Sorry Grozniy, 4 wheels, (8 halves). …And Hardware
They look amazing.
Would be cool to have a set in Chrome.

How did you finish the 3d printed enclosure? Sanded and painted or? Interested in what paint was used and other details.
It was a 3 part print. The connections were physical connections using two opposing bolt holes for a secure hold. I used acrylic cement to melt them together (mostly acetone) since it was made of E3d edge (Pet+).
After that the print was pretty rough. Lots of sanding (6 layer wall thickness, no concerns of breaking through). Lots of bondo, sanding, more bondo, etc…
Eventually it was silky smooth, no print lines, no seams. After that I used 2 coats of rust-oleum grey primer, and finished with a few coats of matte black, no sanding between layers.
Also please note that the battery is toast XD
cells at the ends took the brunt of impacts and vibrations, you can see one is starting to puff. Lots of water damage etc.
Not my best design, but it was my first big battery. Didn’t blow up, disposed of it after about a year.
Hahahaha! Perfect.
Did you spot weld and solder as well?
Spot weld on cell level and solder on top
Reason being higher current capabilities or something else?
U mean solder? Yeah better current rating and etc
Yeah the additional solder - just trying to learn what the “etc” benefits are
Also copper welds don’t hold well…
on the top will be soldered mesh

Fresh. Has anyone said that yet? What’s the story here?
