Sorry @Alphamail ROLF refers to a popular children’s art program in the 80s hosted by the notorious Rolf Harris. The implication is most derogatory.

Which dd are these then and at which kv? Specs please? I bet it doesn’t accelerate very fast from stand still compared to belt or any other drive actually.

Damn that looks so nice! Is that a kit or did you made the motors on the truck by yourself?

Wouldn’t this make the wheels extremely out of balance therefore leading to a bad riding experience.

In other direct drive systems the motor rests on a truck axle and none of the weight is influencing the wheel

Better than what?

You haven’t told me the specs of your motors yet?

I don’t know about all terrain wheels but at 75 kv like exodrives aka torque drives  on 97mm skate wheels it starts slowly. You would need to go 4wd and even then I don’t know if it can compare to a couple of 6374 with 15/36 gearing.

It must be really slow on at wheels I imagine.

But I’ll give it a guess that for a decent torquey start from stand still on at wheels in a 2wd configuration for direct drives you’d need 60kv motors perhaps?

Yes. It’s 60kv motor. We need more test for it. Not too more experience Of it.

What is specification you think is better?

It looks to me that these are supported on the axle through the motor.

Thank you for your suggest.

One that can match a belt drive which is I believe impossible with a one to one ratio.

Of Use 6368 belt motor is better than DD?

What is the axle diameter inside the motor?

I wasn’t talking about that. One side of the wheel is going to be severely inbalanced since there’s a motor on one side

What am I missing?

Hell yassss.

Aren’t you making these products, you should be able to know the answers. If not do your research
