Well I only use it for soldering, don’t have another place to work in.

Looking awesome man.

Finally getting motors for my build Thursday, then on to other parts, like mounts, enclosure and all the electronics that go inside it… Slowly slowly

I guess if it work use it till you can’t. I wouldn’t be able to solder on a flexing surface

We can really see here the attention paid to each piece used on this beautiful setup!

What size wire sleeve did you use for the motor wires?

it’s 4mm, but I had to resolder bullets in order to push them on.

BoomDSC00466 So everything is tightened and loctited.DSC00483 The only test run done was inside, since we have loads of snow.DSC00489 I finished up sleeving the motors this morning.DSC00492 I would say I’m 99% done with the board, one plug for the rear light and a new for the front is needed.DSC00503 I will probably take the board to an underground garage to test it. I did these settings: Motor 70, brake 60, battery 40 and regen 15. Now somewhat interesting part of this build. I do feel that the board is complete, besides new remote and gummies upgrade. In total I went through, bought and used these parts. 2 decks 2 sets of trucks 3 sets of wheels 4 motors 2x TB vescs 2x 6.6 dual fsecs 3 remotes 10+ pairs of bushings 10+ pairs of riser pads 3 sets of motor pulleys 2 sets of wheel pulleys 15+ pairs of belts 3 pairs of motor mounts Honestly 1000+ pieces of nuts, bolts, washers, spacers and so on 2 front bumpers 3 bmses I think with all the tools and bits and pieces, this board costed atleast 2x the price of only raw things standing here. Still worth it tho, the process was fun!

She is a beauty! Great job on the build! Currently embarking on my first and I really like that braided sleeve. Is this the stuff? https://www.amazon.com/100ft-Expandable-Braided-Sleeving-BlackRed/dp/B074GL89ML/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_6_sspa?keywords=BraidedShrink+wire+sleeve&qid=1548186766&sr=8-6-fkmrnull-spons&psc=1

Congrats on the build being done now go buy a flame thrower so you can melt the snow and play

yeah, I think it could be the same, I used 4mm one, but allien motors have only 14g wire, so you might need a bit wider one if you have some thick cables.

At least you have enough parts left over for a second board. Oh and this is freakin sick, @Eboosted your dath maul has some competition

Freaking insane! I love the lowrider stance. Congrats @Komamtb

Thanks guys, this deck is really amazing and stable, the drop and concave lock your feet in really good. This is one of my more favorite parts of the whole board. For me the deck ticks a lot of things for what is needed for e board, I wonder why it’s such uncommon deck, but I like it

I’m surprised by how long small things take to be fixed. Got the small jst plugs and started rewiring my LEDs. IMG_20190127_160902 IMG_20190127_154803 IMG_20190127_154821 One resistor will be enough for the back, but I’m putting a second voltage convertor for the front, to have 2.1-18v options available.

Which voltage converter is that?

The big one is the Turnigy 12s 20a one, the small one i bought locally, 2-18v 2a

IMG_20190128_182004 Finally I have a working light! This intricacy took 3 hours to make, including 2 re-dos, small BMS touch up, and push to start wires redone. IMG_20190128_181931 So I made a sandwich from 2 converters. IMG_20190128_181914 The big one is the main one, small one only for the front lights, so that I could easily swap lights and always have a desired voltage from 2 to 18v at 2amps max. IMG_20190128_181759 IMG_20190128_182217 IMG_20190128_182106 I made both lights easy to connect-disconnect for enclosure removals. A few front light parts came to the country, so some future updates will be here soon.

Now a side question, I’m already thinking about the next future board uptade, and came to this idea, 13s3p 40t pack? For ~6e a piece I would not mind pulling the trigger, this pack checks a lot of marks in what I need in my future build, but I did noticed that the cell is not very popular, so what do you guys think? Semi light, 12ah battery pack with 100a discharge for 350 with BMS? thanks

IMG_20190130_153753 IMG_20190130_153647 IMG_20190130_170818 So I might be adding a third voltage convertor for this led strip and maybe I’ll add some blinking to it, space is so tight, that I will have to find a shorter button. Also will rewrap the Vesc and redo resiver wires.

I think that at 3P yours 40T will underutilized, you could go 13S4P of 30Q for less weight, cheaper and almost the same capacity, but with a little less power, but if cost is no problem go for it

cost is not an issue, after building a few boards, I have realised how important for me it is to have some room in the enclouse so I’m looking at smaller form factor things for the next board.
