Does anyone know if this esc has regenerative braking? There is also a loud squeal when I try to brake.
yeah the squeal is normal. they also regen, but its not really regulated properly like a VESC

yes. Yes it does. VESC pretty much can do anything due to the software programmable nature of the VESC.
