Thanks for reintroducing that

Need to test it, it seems ambitious

Nice one @PXSS  you da man…

now that i saw the pictures, people shouldn’t worry about cooling the can, but rather the side of the cans

you can see on the sides, the most heated parts are the side of the cans, and i suppose the stator and the axle that would hold it.

Maybe expand the side of the cans to go around the can and touch, then add the fins in there for better heat dissipation, since DD’s have limited space to do so

Main problem for simple direct drive conversion without new truck is the width. That trucks is probably more than 35cm in width. Definetelly possible. I ma making 2 DIY DD and one it’s a conversion, the other from scratch. The one from scratch is easier than the conversion because you design the parts to fit each other and not make adapters .

Looks like another Chinese manufacturer are putting out DDs. Very similar to Swissboard it seems. Getting more details… Specs don’t make a whole lot of sense https://magic-board.myshopify.com/products/electric-skateboard-direct-drive-motor-flexible-work-with-different-type-and-size-wheels-speed-be-faster-stability-durability?fbclid=IwAR2Y4G40c8J3orAWGlWYLuGsKtbtj1WQgtmw5x9Z1OfIzjsMENfhfyQ8UTM

The only similarity I’m seeing so that the trucks axels are stepped down, but not really in the same place or style.

This is from the elofty page:

" It has four V4 Speed Drive R motors "

Isn’t that carvon language? Are they using carvon motors?

Most likely, they just copy other people’s product descriptions lol.

They have lofty ambitions. Hence the name "Shenzhen Lofty Ambition Technology Co., Ltd. ". Lol
