Be careful with the partial hexagons on the edges, they tend to come off with use

test mounted the trucks today, my boxer girl approved!

I did also notice that i think im going to need to use 19mm risers just to get clearence for the motormounts and cables. With 12mm riser the mount hits the deck on full turns and there is also very little space to let the cables ride under the motors (may touch doing hard turns)

The height of the deck as it sits with 90mm wheels is 12cm. Im guessing that it will be around 12.5cm with the 97mm wheels. What do you guys consider to high? 20181124_130141 20181124_120012 20181124_120026

Its a bit high yeah, i run 12cm myself but im on a trampa with 125mm wheels.

Doesnt feel comfy for pushing imo.

Yeah it feels a bit high and it will propably be around 3-4mm higher with those 97mm wheels. The raptor 2 is around 13cm so it may be ok.

Thanks! It’s tempting but it’s -5 Celsius in Sweden at the moment so… Plus side is that I have plenty of time to make it a real beauty before spring arrives

Its not quite that cold here but the wind is getting pretty crazy. We live about 30-40 miles off of a small “mountain range” so the wind just picks up speed through here.

Find a carpark :stuck_out_tongue: I already took mine out a few times with exposed parts and a 12S lipo config in a big carpark.

Its around the same here, was -4 yesterday.

Painted the motor mounts today. One was quite banged up so i replaced it and put some new fresh paint on the mounts  20181128_142645

Next i installed the wheels and alu pulleys. I had to use a 6mm drill to make some rooms for the pulley screws otherwise the pulley wouldn’t sit flush with the wheel. 20181129_114444 Looks good with those abec imo :+1:

Received some pulley covers today that fits those tb mounts. I had to dremel the covers to make some room for the 97mm wheels. 20181130_140448 20181130_140425

If you want them to last for ages you can coat them in some epoxy resin and sand it down a little.

I do that on everything i get 3dprinted, also makes it look less 3dprinted.

Looking bloody good so far! Hear you on the height thing but with forward mount motors there isn’t much else you can do. Thats one of the reasons I run reverse mounts. You could try wedging the rear truck away from the deck but then you are getting into the realms of complication. Finish it ride it and fall in love my friend. Great looking build.

Epic website, only problem i would think would be customs and like 14 dollar shipping on it.

He is in EU, and looks like they are in US.

For the deck

  • 2 layers off primer
  • 2 layers off red paint from hadware store
  • 2 layers clear coat.

Mounts + covers

  • black wheel paint for aluminium wheels

The brand was nothing fancy or famous
