IMG_20180712_161904so this should work and bring the firmware to 2.17 or 2.18 as well as not “bricking” my vesc?

I used the vesc tool from @Ackmaniac not the bldc tool I would think the torqueboard vesc should have the up to date firmware

Is there a link to the download for the vesc software

there is a thread for @Ackmaniac vesc tool on here

Hi,

I think I’m gonna build a board with hub motors (open to other ideas). The only ones I’ve found (I live in the EU) are similar to this: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F152903000283

Will it be enough to carry my weight ~60Kg or 132 pounds at a speed of 25 mph?

Yes no problem with them, they are pretty common and good. Another, much better (but more expensive at 500$) option are @Hummie ´s Hubmotors:

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately I don’t think I will have the budget for Hummie’s motors.

Still think it’s kinda amazing hub motors for this price will reach 25 mph!

Will I be able to reach that with a 10S battery pack or should I go for 12s?

Hello i have buyed a motor with, shaft diameter 6mm,and gear hole is 8mm. my solution is create a cylinder with 8mm diameter outside and 6mm diameter inside and mount with pin.what you guys think? or you have a better solution

What material are you going to use for the ‘cylinder’? You could go to a machine shop and have them shim it, would likely be more reliable.

may be i use steel or aluminum, i will make in a turning machine

Any1 know if these batteries will work?

Otherwise these will work right?: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F182583574136

Havent heard of the 26 h but alot of people have used the 25R

Yeah, I think the 26H has WAY to low C rating. But they are a lot cheaper, so I just wanted to check.

Yeah I would go with something atleast tested when it comes to batteries because you dont want to blow anything or for them to catch fire.

The hubs you linked have 75 kv. They will bring you to your desired speed at 10s. You can use this calculator: http://calc.esk8.it/ Just type in 1 to 1 gearing for hubs :+1:

Is there proper etiquette when it comes to filing a claim on a seller on here? I’ve never had to file a PayPal claim. I tend to be pretty optimistic and assume the best in people. even when they don’t communicate with me i assume there’s a good excuse. I know better than most how life can get away from you I’m currently working 7 days a week (day 53 no days off) 7-16 hours a day. I’d hate to cause someone more stress or damage to their business just because they’re having a bad week, especially when I see this person has sold to a lot of the regulars on here. It’s been two weeks with no contact after payment sent. No replys to messaged or posts on thier threads…

Depending on who it is I would say no there is no etiquette. If it is one of the guys who has been around a long time I would say try to give them a call
