Don’t you technically use a male XT90 attached to your female XT90s?

Last time I’m poking you today

Each build is different. I’d have to ask you 25 questions to find out the answer.

Yes.

Very rarely I use female XT90. I use female XT90S and male XT90 and male/female XT60 a lot.

Typically XT60 for a single-motor-in-a-dual-motor system

and XT90 for a single motor system or for both-motors-in-a-dual-motor-system

Like this, where both drive currents go through an XT90 but each ESC itself uses an XT60.

Also, spend the extra few cents and buy “Amass” brand connectors. It’s silly not to. They’re barely more expensive and twice as good.

Keep them plugged together while soldering so the pins stay straight. That means you’ll need a few extra connectors

:exploding_head: officially committed to memory

What is an official xt90? Is it a parrelel adapter?

I want to order a female xt90s and a male xt90 for a single motor build. 10s4p

When you buy a pack of Xt90s connectors, you are receiving an Xt90s female and an xt90 male. There is no such thing at an Xt90s male. The female part is the special part because it has a small built in fuse resistor.

By official, we just mean use the brand Amass (in the description from the supplier). They are well tested and trusted.

They’re based in China sadly :frowning:

Estimated delivery would be in May

Those are all adapters. You want bare plugs like this, so you can make up your own wiring harness:

https://www.amazon.com/Venom-RC-Female-Connector-Battery/dp/B00WND5L6A

That is five pairs of regular XT90 connectors - five male, and five female.

You will also want one of these:

https://www.amazon.com/XT90-S-Female-Connector-Battery-Charge/dp/B00RVM8U5W

That is one pair of XT90-S connectors - one female antispark, and one male regular.

You will have a grand total of six male connectors, five regular female connectors, and one female antispark connector to make your loopkey from.

You only need four male connectors, three regular female connectors, and one antispark connector, but it’s usually cheaper and/or easier to just get a five-pack so you have spares.

It’s an “Amass” brand XT90 connector.

No, it has a built-in resistor.

Touche

is this

or

this as good? they say slightly diff things want to make sure it works, the others dont ship for over a month. I bought the xt90S you linked

Those are the exact same link for both; the same item.

In general, anywhere you can use an XT90 female plug, you can also use an XT90S female plug, but not the other way around. The male plugs are identical for both.

So, generally you can skip XT90 and only order XT90S.

I have a few XT90 female plugs, and only use them in certain cases. They do have a slightly bigger contact patch and technically work slightly better (albeit without the antispark resistor). But we’re splitting hairs here. They’re basically the same.

The only reason I buy both 90 and 90s is because the 90s are a little more expensive, and I am a cheap bastard XD

That works just fine.

Those trucks wont fit dual 6374s you need torqueboards 218mm caliber clones. Also, those batteries are really thick. Clearance might be an issue

 You can definitely use dual 6355 which is more than adequate. You could also mount one in front and one behind the truck if they are xx74 motors but I don’t know if those mounts are reversible or not.

I prefer dual 6355s on a street board. They have plemty of torque to haul around 250lbs at high speed uphill. Dual 6374 is just overkill on a street board imo. Very few people who build a dual 6374 setup use anywhere near its full potential.

Im not sure if those mounts are reversible, i forgot that was an option. I just hate the asymmetrical look
