Thatā€™e the current plan, I might be able to use 15mm belts rn but otherwise I can get the last mil by going to 12mm

Is there a problem having the belt so close to the wheel? I am using a press fit pulley from BKB, which is supposed to be made for orangtangs wheels. I did a test run and didnā€™t feel anything weird, but it was my first time ridding belts.

dose anyone have any idea how to build 10s6p battery so that it can be charged in less than two hours im using samsung 30 q cells thats about all i know im not sure how to make it fast charge able or how to lay it out so it can fit under my 40 inch deck

Probably a 5 amp charger should do the trick.

thank you i most need help with how to assemble a 12s4p

Sorry but if you are asking that question you shouldnā€™t be building your own battery. Do a lot of reading and you will eventually find out.

There is a slight misalignment put some speed washers between the hanger and the pulley bearing and see how it is. You can add them and then rotate your wheel to see if the belt is moving.

What do you mean by misalignment? Yo mean that the belt is shifted to the left? In that case it would be easier to move the motor pulley to the right, I cannot fit any more washers on the truck axle.

I have one. Iā€™m building an electric mountainboard and Iā€™m thinking of using either a VESC 4.2 or a VESC 6.6. Iā€™d save almost 90 bucks if I chose a 4.2, but Iā€™m unsure of whether itā€™s worth it. How much different would the experience be?

Oh, also is Multistar a decent manufacturer of Lipos? Iā€™ve heard that theyā€™re prone to combustion, and I want to make sure that any risks are minimized. I was thinking of wiring two of these in series https://www.ebay.com/itm/Multistar-High-Capacity-6S-12000mAh-Multi-Rotor-Lipo-Pack-10C-XT90-Plug-266-4wh/113737716828?hash=item1a7b4bd45c:g:KA8AAOSwPT5czn2Z.

Hello, I have this Li Ion battery of a hoverboard (new condition https://imgur.com/a/ebDjDsV ) is it possible to use this one to power a eboard? If so, would I just be connecting the XT60 to the ESC of the board or am I supposed to do this otherwise. Also how would one be charging this bms? I only see a P-, but donā€™t I also need a P+ to charge it? Would I be able to charge it with a charger like this? https://hobbyking.com/en_us/imax-b6-50w-5a-charger-discharger-1-6-cells-genuine.html

Thanks for the help!

Hey guys, I need some help rebuilding my evolve GTX. I fried the esc, and have ordered a Focbox unity, with a raptor remote. Now i need help figuring out the BMS. im rebuilding the battery to be a 10s4p with Sony vtc6 cells, and i read that an 80a BMS would be good for this. here is what im looking at : https://buildkitboards.com/products/bestech-bms?variant=16115585319006 Would this be right? and where do i look for a guide on how to hook it to the battery? Im also wondering if ill be able to use my stock evolve charger with my pretty-much all new setup. everything is being changed except for the motors. also, not that i care that much, but will i be able to go backwards?

Also @BruSkater a good indication that your belt is aligned perfectly, is that you can hand-turn it forward and watch which side the belt moves to ā€“ and if you then hand-turn it reverse and the belt goes to the opposite side, then itā€™s not quite perfectly aligned. It might work, but itā€™s better if you can get it perfect. Thatā€™s usually indicating the clamp on the hanger might not be perfectly perpendicular.

Yes, I realized that, and in fact it moves around depending the direction, but I find it quite difficult to align the clamp, I did all I could, but when you tight the screws physics is just going to do its thing and move the clamp a bitā€¦ But the misalignment seems minor, hope that is not a problemā€¦

But getting to the original question, is there a problem to have the belt so close to the wheel @b264?

Not really. Iā€™ve ridden when they were touching the wheel before. It makes an annoying noise. LoLz

Iā€™ll be assembling parts tonight. Super excited! I want it to go smoothly, what vesc tool is recommended currently? I am using the Flipsky 4.20 updated resistor version. I think I remember reading that lower voltage was recommended for the initial setup of the vesc, what voltage? I only have my 10s4p and 12v sources available really.

dose anyone now were to buy a reliable 12s4p for under 400

Which one do you want? You may choose.
