Hi my name is Arcris I bought a benchwheel penny electric skateboard. It is alright but I want to build my own because I don’t want to be stuck on a 10km electric skateboard. I want to create a electric skateboard with more kms. I’m not in a hurry to finish my build so I can reach my needs. P.S. Rider’s load 104 kg. lol Thanks

@Matthias

Well… with a skill set like yours, I believe, you should be able to even contribute greatly to the community as a whole :slight_smile:

I think the most time thinking out things can be spent in getting the right sizes and dimensions dialed in… not so much about electronics, so you should be ‘well suited’ for this task :wink:

As you have already read probably, then there are a lot of discussions where the right choice of components have been discussed… If in doubt, just open a discussion and Im sure someone will jump in to help you out :wink:

See ya… and would definately be more interested to hear about your work (battery designing for EV’s) in more detail :slight_smile:

@jeddell

Welcome to the forum!

Im sure you will find plenty of info if you try to search the right keywords ‘‘mountainboard’’ / ‘‘trampa’’ / ‘‘pneumatic’’ etc on the forum…

Non the less… from experience I can tell that some parts might be harder to source than it is for longboards while at the same time building a mountainboard can be a bit easier because of the more open / wider space for electronics and higher clearance from the ground!

Im sure you have already found a few solutions to how everything should be built but if you got any more questions, please feel free to ask!

Thanks for the reply. Im still learning terminology. Slowly getting a handle on batteries, but the ESCs are proving somewhat of a mystery.

I cant find any site where there are definitive explanations of components in order to build a system on paper BEFORE going out a spending hard earned cash. Parts arent that cheap, so I really want to get the setup matched properlly before spending any money. Its the reason I added the weight that I expect this board to push.

So I guess that my first ask, somewhere to go and learn about grass roots info on putting the pieces together?

Ill go search through some of the other forums here as well, but in my experience in other forums, they get real technical real fast without actually explaining how they got to where they are.

Whaddup Esk8ers, I just started my first build with a group of other kids and found this site to be my new favorite porno site and reference guide as I move forward building. I have made a lot of expensive mistakes listening to people on other websites but this one is real. For esk8. And I am happy to be here. Should be posting some pics of my (Fairly cheap) first build as it comes out. (Turnigy 2x3S LiPo, Trackstar 150A ESC, Turnigy 280kv motor, homemade board, 3D printed motor mount, printed pulleys, and printed enclosure). Let’s do this

Hello, originally a forum lurker but became a member a while ago! In the process of building a carbon fiber deck with a Nomex Honeycomb fiber core. I also backed Carvon on Kickstarter to get a EVO 2WD. I don’t know what I’ll do with two boards :sweat_smile:

ciao. io sono di lodi, vicino milano. sei riuscito a fare la long? hai bisogno di una mano? io ho gia fatto la mia

Hi my name is Fabio, and my project is to customize my own electric skateboard to improve reliable and performance

hi fabio. where are you from? do you need help ?

I’m from Italy, i need help is if possible. I wanted to start a design of an electric longboard when my girlfriend buy one with an offer at a shop near our house. Now, everything works well enough though, of course, would like a little bit more. I have photos of this longboard and I ask, do you think it would make sense open all, see the components and replace maybe engine and battery with a little bit more handsome? Thank you

ti ho scritto :wink:

Great project! Good luck with it.

Well, not new to e-skate nor new to this forum, just never posted before.

My latest project - 4th diy-eboard:

top speed about 30kmh, range (tested, total weight inc board - 75kg) - 18km. Weight - 3.73kg.
