Need help for proper tensioning of pulley belt

Sweet. About how much does the belt flex with your finger pushing lightly on it.

Very very little but it’s not too tight either that it’s forcing the motor!!!

then your belt is too tight. take a picture while your putting your finger on it

Ok I will post when I get home, in school right now

Is this sound normal?

In the picture you posted, you belt looks way too loose. In the video it looks a little tight. Too tight and it can wear out your motor bearings faster. Too loose and the belt may jump teeth when you brake too hard. Try loosening the motor mounting screws and push the motor forward just till the belt feels snug. then snug the screws and check belt play. If you squeeze the upper and lower part of the belt together, each part should move about 1/4" without too much force. Then test ride and try your brakes. Also learn to apply brakes gradually and not suddenly to avoid belt slippage.

New tension

Good??? 10 charc

too loose or too tight, or good??

Looks a little loose

ok thank you

In my opinion, the belt is only too loose if it skips teeth when you apply FULL brake going fast on a downhill. If it doesn’t skip, it’s not too loose. You should loosen it until it skips then tighten it a tad. But that’s just what I think
