N.E.S.E / NESE - No solder module battery packs

thats what i did. but i used normal wood screws. you get a slight bend into the modules, so if you want the premium solution, @mishrasubhransu seems to solve it all, and i must admit, those things look sick^^

Dude I NEED that braided cable! Where do you get yours???

just search on ebay, took me 3min^^

I posted it above. Select 3/8"(9.5mm) and 10Ft should be enough. https://www.amazon.com/Tinned-Copper-Metal-Braided-Sleeving/dp/B01MEG9V2R

So on decks that are flat width-wise you wouldn’t need the mounts as much? My understanding is that’s the main reason for them while the braid allows the flex on the board lengths-wise?

Yes, that was precisely my first thought. but the deck that I got is concave, so it is kind of weird mounting them. Also, I felt like the mounting screws would put pressure on the modules when the board is bending along the width. Of course it won’t fail instantly but like a long-term fatigue failure. Maybe it’s just me overthinking it, but it’s definitely a clean way of mounting it and providing relief from vibrations and lateral bending.

I would love to see how you mounted it, maybe I am over-engineering this.

The mounts are for mounting the nese modules on lateral curved surface and to provide strain relief when the board bends laterally. For bending along the length, the braided cable do the work.

Why not just silicone them in?

example? sdfasdfs

I really like how the braided cables look so i think im going to do it that way as well.

Reason I asked was i plan on mounting on a hummie deck which I believe doesn’t have any concave on the mounting side so i could save abit of space for these as i May likely double stack for 12s8p later on lol

Dont have these modules but what I would do is get some NEUTRAL CURE SILICONE, I found some for like £5 ($7)

And you can just try and see if you can apply the silicone on the deck and just press the modules onto the deck (or the other way around) but it provides dampening properties and stick real good and some people like LHB use it to attach their battery packs and other electronics to the deck/electroincs

I didn’t really understand those mounts until just now seeing them from the side. That’s super cool! Are you thinking of selling them or can you upload the file?

Make sure to print this part vertically so that it is strong along the right direction. stl file: https://drive.google.com/file/d/13Kss8qCCWYNcwPeAVUciY7Qvw_sl8GWt/view?usp=sharing

You need four inserts(M3x3mmx4.3) per module. You can get it from amazon or aliexpress https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M28WNQX

Sweet, thank you!

My only concern is the amp carrying capacity of this. Can you ease my concerns at all?

these braided connections can carry a lot.

Like 4wd MTB a lot?

Not rly. I think you solution IS rly good. I used some Pads right under the Module. But i will either not mount them directly to the Deck or find some other solution. But i will probabyl Go your way with these holders. They Just eliminate all concerns. Rly nice Work. IMG_20180906_123122

What enclosure are you guys thinking of using with these packs? Given it any thought?
