Its still really new… Trying to see if someone in my network actually know the owner. Also pretty sure that its not going to come with focboxes… probably chinese ESC, but that enclosure for battery and esc and how it has potential for fast swap really excites me.

I managed to get a hold of the owner. Shops are only in Taiwan, that SF address was there because SF is likely where he would open up shop if theres enough interest. THERES no shop there

He is DIY turned vendor.

Here are specs: Motor: 60kv, max amp 60 amps no sensor ESC is chinese but is modified for the board with larger capacitors

The enclosure will comfortably hold 2 focboxes.

There are 2 options for the battery packs both running 13s1p Samsung 25R (for ALMOST air travel safe) Sanyo NCR 20700B

Trucks are rated very conservatively for 200 KG.

Board is set up to run foc unsensored with 20 amps per motor.

Now here are the interesting part: He has control over the production line (he isn’t buying off the shelf parts) He is willing to consider selling parts (I am probably picking up motors and enclosure with the BMS in it and adding batteries myself) He is willing to consider putting out custom motors (60 kv 80 amps sensored drives anyone) Please PM me if the above is of interest. If there is enough interest I’ll set up a poll to finalize spec and start shopping around for someone thats willing to organize a group buy.

I’m definitely interested. Just a question. Is FOC unsensored a thing? I thought FOC needs a sensor to work. And I assume we can’t use just any truck right?

Unsensored FOC is a thing. I run my old carvons on unsensored FOC.Silent! I’d guess trucks would need to be heavily modified or use the ones shown.

If I can buy only trucks and DD motors, I’m interested in it. However, I think the track width of 13 inches is too big for me… :roll_eyes:

The guy you refer to is me Timo and I run www.haggyboard.com // meta surf is well known in the local community here. I have not tried their boards. Forging the hangers is absolutely legit and I would not be surprised if they do it within taiwan (as opposed to having them done in mainland China). We also do proper forged hangers made in taiwan.

@Tamatoa: hi there. They are marked “sold out” because I needed to ensure that the ball bearings sit perfectly in the rim. I habe a few sets of rims now for testing and I expect to have all of them ready for purchase by mid-November. If some of you are interested to get your hands on some sets earlier, please let me know best by email: [email protected] // regarding the cost I am still calculating as it will depend on the hard anodizing / and sandblasting process. Nevertheless, I aim to make it VERY price competitive .
