Cool. I didn’t know it had that feature.

Stop teasing and post details please.

I managed to get a quick ride in before the rain. Apologies for the really crappy video. I was pressed for time.

Awesome. I’ve got to do this on a board sometime.

Would you show us how you made it? great hack

Bravo👏🏻

Well done sir!

Excellent ! Good thinking on the C-button. And simple as fuck. Finally an esk8 without handheld controller. Integrate the switch somewhere in the grip tape and your all set. Gonna use this idea for a lightweight cruiser.

Anyone know how do to something similar with out a vesc?

C button on my wiiceiver is a turbo lol goes too 100 percent throttle.

Doesn’t the wiiceiver have a cruise button ? I thought so.

You can change the code in wiiceiver. But i dont think the hobby ESC have a feedback loop for speed sensing. You could probably program it up for sensored motor. It is definitely possible but would require an extra bit of programming and fiddling around.

nice. i dont understand it though…if youre on cruise control how does dragging your foot stop it…and how does going up a hill not stop it?

wish someone would integrate stress sensors on the trucks. those can be super accurate (they use them to reveal the wattage produced by a cyclist through the cranks). they’re small. one on each truck would be awesome. just lean forward or backwards for throttle or brake. done before but not with enough explanation for me to do it.

As you drag your foot the motor is disengaged so you are just coasting. Then when you go up hill the motor accelerates to keep you at the same speed. Simmilarly when going down a hill the motor will brake to slow you down.

Wiiceiver has perpetual steez. VESC has cruise control. 2 different beasties. Don’t get them confused.

Idk if it has a cruise button or not, when I’ve tried it it doesn’t. But I quickly stopped using wiiceiver cuz they aren’t as reliable as other options. But I’ll like to build something like this! That extra board I have used a 120amp fvt. Sensor less. Lol I can put a sensored motor on it tho. Maybe I’ll just have to get creative

people keep saying that, but to this day its one of my favorite most reliable and most comfortable controllers.

Duu I get it.

Is ur wii connected to vesc and hardwired? Mine wasn’t hardwired and was awful

yup. hard wired. the wiiceivers should never even be sold with socket connectors. using a nunchuck without hard wiring is equivalent to this:
