I need help! Im doing my first build and i have no idea what to buy!

so 10c per battery and 20c together or 10c/20c per battery? do they add when put in series?

You can use either a 10C or 20C pack. 20C preferably.

You can go for higher discharge rates but itā€™s not really needed IMO.

does zippy or turnigy make better quality batteries in your experience?

They both work well. I didnā€™t notice much difference in quality between the two. I like the cheaper one.

there are also higher grade lipos made by companies like sky. would you recommend upgrading the better lipos?

also what specs do i need in an esc? What escā€™s do you recommend?

with all the help im getting, im going to have one heck of a board.

TorqueBoards ESC from

Or VESC from Enertion.com

haha never mind you already answered this. So im looking for a 100a- 150a esc but there are so many options. i need help finding one that will last and be able to be programmed with shut offs and throttle caps.

VESC is better IMO but they will both work well.

No just get Zippy or Turnigy

if i want to go dual motors im going to have to get a cheaper esc. are the any similiar escā€™s with cheaper price tags? if not i can just add motors later.

I saw a guy using this esc online. would this work?

Thatā€™s a helicopter ESC and may function differently. You might not be able to get it to work that way. I havenā€™t seen anyone test it nor am I sure if it would work for your application.

You would have to get a 6S ESC if you are looking for something cheaper.

i think im gonna go with the vesc and (

) for my batteries

and i will propally go with the tacon bigfoot or a turnigy motor, but most likely tacon bigfoot

now what transmitter and reciever should i use?

ive seen people use this 1

If you have to go cheap in escs just make sure you stick with 1/8 or 1/5 scale car escs. Helicopter, boat and airplane arenā€™t going to work and may end up hurting you.

You can use the GT2B from HobbyKing and/or Amazon.com sells them.

You could probably place it in a smaller controller -> http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:922378
