Would this deck still be usable if I was to enlarge the routed out space? Roughly an inch in each direction? Or would I need to add like a layer of CF or fiberglass?

don’t know. depends how heavy you are but I wouldn’t cut it further just because it looks nice as is. but I think an inch either direction would likely be fine

Well I am thinking about the width cause I’m gonna use either 2070 or 2170 cells, and a bit longer so I can run 12s and 4WD. All those VESC’s take up a lot of space,
