HAYA HB92 Integrated Deck

If you charge with a massive server PSU then your port wont melt and short

I prefer 5,5x2,1 DC Jack ports, but I only charge with 2-4 Amps

If you search for XLR port youā€™ll find it.

I usually buy them in packs of 5 but I canā€™t find the link now.

And massive

For sure 5,5x2,5 can take 4 amps? That would be enough for me.

I think 4amps ā€œshouldā€ be ok, my port did not melt yet

BTW, all packages left Germany this Saturday. I hope they get to your homes before Christmas

This makes me super happy because the past weeks have been quite stressful.

@skunk and others who have asked: my father is going order some raw pressed decks. Weā€™ll play with them the same way a car is designed on clay (more or lessā€¦). I hope we have something when 2019 starts. [Flat-Kicktail Deck]

the most 5.5mm x 2.1mm dc plugs are rated with 2Aā€¦ difficult to sayā€¦

mine is rated for 3Aā€¦ still not a lot.

Got it? Thanks!

I did a quick check on Mouser, some are even rated at 7A :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Yes, I did the same check, but they are much bigger. I just talked about the small M8 style version. If u go for a bigger hole, there are plenty of other good plugsā€¦

EDIT: I am wrong there is a 8mm version in 7A, but it looks strangeā€¦ I guess its used for mounting on a grounded hole or somethingā€¦ so its not very convenient for our purposes. The next one is a 5A Version is not good looking and has a 10 or 12mm core. No information in the data sheet. Do u find a nice one in 5A? @bevilacqua

You are talking about this one? https://pl.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Switchcraft/712A?qs=sGAEpiMZZMv1TUPJeFpwbvDLoO7VplWmGzPCelncVas%3D Itā€™s 5A but 12V in specs. Is it matter that itā€™s 12V?

Hmm good questionā€¦ I guess 12v or 42v is not a huge difference for a mechnanical plug.

Yes i mean this plug. Hard to find a nice easy accessible plug like thisā€¦

Voltage shouldnt matter if it is only for charging as the produced heat depends much more of the current that the wattage.

If you need a small plug, XT30 is tiny and can handle the current.

Voltage rating is usually for arcing.

Voltage is critical in shortening because of insufficient isolationā€¦ heat is no real value for voltage.

Bit the tue difference between 12v and 50 is nearly nothing when we speak about things like plugs or connectors

I created my fist version of the raiser with the XT30ā€¦ just exchanged it because @bevilacqua showed me the small dc 5.5mm plugā€¦

Maybe I ll upload the XT30 version as wellā€¦

This could be good for higher amp chargers, apparently it has a copper needle instead of steel

xt type plugs are just not convenient. They are not designed for the purpose of quick connecting and disconnecting.

Iā€™m interested in a set of prints for this
