Ahh. I was hopping it was spring steel.

Spring steel , its not a 3d printer. Waay to heavy

yeee. I love the fact you know it used on 3D printer. Just wanted to be surprised. And i don’t see anything wrong with Alu

Those green/black doHickey’s take a lot of room, are they the panels for unity-raptor hubs? Bms offboard?

It looks like a giant-ass pcb under everything? @Blasto please, more info!

Oh blasto you cheeky SOAB if you get that PCB done itll be so clean

Edit: @Blasto correct me if im wrong but the PCB looks like it’ll connect all of the cells as required and will allow the unity to connect directly, has an integrated position for a BMS, and something else (dont know what the plugs are)

Yeah it’s a giant ass pcb… it’s fucking expensive to make, 50$ each moq of 5, so i’m still sitting on it waiting for my aliexpress parts to arrive… don’t want to make a stupid mistake.

I’ll make a dedicated thread once i start building

Damn did you redraw that?!

Want to offset the cost of those with some of us for the pcb?

Yeah it connects all the cells in a 12s2p config, the pcb should be safely handle 30 battery amps.

The bms is just a cheap ass bms for each 12s2p pack, the high current path doesnt run through the bms, but the bms will be able to shut down the Unity in case of a fault… well that’s the theory lol

Wait I’m a bit confused. Will a single unity fit with a 10s4p? I can make some chanels for the phase wires if nessesary but the Gap is wide enough right?

Nah i’m too lazy to redraw the deck, @bevilacqua handed me an old version to help

This is dual Unity with dual 12s2p, so 12s4p with 18650… i was going with 20700 at first, but the height restriction did not allow that

Son of a. Alright thanks. That was my plan gotta figure something out now.

Here’s a 3d pdf… only works on a computer though

Well it’s because im adding an extra 2mm because of the pcb.

LOL, im just gonna stop telling if anything fits or not. The dimensions of the enclosure are on the very first post. The depth is 22,5mm, up to the builder to decide if 2X700 fit or not

So a normal unity will fit right?
