I think this month or around early February we’ll organise a 2nd batch, keep an eye on this thread
I found this interesting… prob applies to us too. I know i havent been updated by usps yet. Not a dig, just sharing.
Thanks for sharing, this Thursday I can finaly open a search complaint, that hopefully should solve the issue…
or go for an old magsafe port - there is a topic by me that explains everything.
I still dont feel comfortable to use this plug wihtout any cover (not specialy this plug… ). I dont want to use any plug without a cap to protect it against rain ect.
There should be silicone covers for the magsafe ports - you’d just need to find a solution to make them hold even under vibrations when facing downwards - but that’s nothing a ziptie or similar couldn’t fix.
The Exway uses a magnetic port that can charge at 51v 4A. Maybe we should look into that?
Yes please
I talk to a company how provid professional magnetic plugs… lets see what they say…
Pretty sure you’ll come back with “they are expensive as ****” At least compared to the cheap aliexpress magsafe stuff.
And I’m pretty sure that MOQ is 10 000pcs
I’ll take 4 if that helps lol
@Eboosted already explored the issue few months ago. I believe he already got the solution for the magnetic plugs. If I’m not mistaken he bought a bunch for his builds.
I was supposed to buy these magnetic plugs a while ago but placing an order was too difficult at the time, maybe the are offered more widely now
I wanted magnet charging but those round magneet poles where hard to get from China. So i orderd Magsafe connector… Made it with a Nice gasget made of brass with shiny coating for the Nice finish. The connector can plug in both ways. Btw for the little extra details, evolve trucks with hub motors:)
Uau
Option 1( 1 Amp per pin):
Option 2( 1 Amp per pin):
Option 3( 5 Amps per pin):
Option 4(5 Amps per pin):
The first 2 are magnetic and the last 2 are not but it would be very easy to make them so with some 3D printing. One can even get the pogo pins separately and make an array trapped in a 3d printed connector. Individual pins here
