Has anyone tried using one of these esc's from ebay before?

I believe this guy is using that esc. Dual setup with the hubs offered on same site. I believe @dickyho is the man who sells this stuff.

Hope this helps.

this controller shall not be easy to got heat. but we have tested during the development, when input power not good enough(like say battery discharge rate not good), this board will got heat. thereā€™s many other similar products like this one on chinaā€™s market, this one is the best, for now

actually, I do have this controllerā€™s case and heat sink and battery indicator for sell.

Really? My brakes are progressive on the ebay esc. What happened when the esc broke?

I have actually seen a new version of the eBay esc. Where it is just a single pcb board and the 3 wires are on opposite sides

The bms shut off and I was unable to power on the board. The MTB version of this ESC consists of two identical PCBs that is connected via serial. After disconnecting the faulty PCB (one motor), I could turn on the board again.

Tested both motors on the working PCB and they were fine.

Anyway, I have been told that this ESC is limited to 50a, which is simply not enough for a mountain board (on the flats it will do fine).

So did u get yours from ebay, too?

See this is the other one

Yeah from dickyho if I can remember it right

Will the ebay esc work for sensor less motors? Im looking to buy this kit:

Yes. It actually works quite well sensorless. I was able to start from a standstill on the dual version on 10s.

Same here with 6s

dickyho has a hub and brushless version, i am assuming I should get the brush less? Also, esc has a max power out put 2600W. (1300W each motor) but the kit is 2200W each motor. Would this configuration still work?

or should i just get 2 of these? https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Racerstar-120A-ESC-Brushless-Waterproof-Sensorless-1-8-RC-Car-Part/32747935829.html?spm=a2g0s.13010208.99999999.262.bh7hPI

I should go wit the dual ebay esc. I also run without sensors and I didnā€™t feel a lot of difference. Dual esc and sensorless motors will work great!

How many watts is your motors? The ones im looking at are 900watts over the max output of the ebay esc wouldnā€™t it get fried? Any connection issues the remote and reciever?

No it wonā€™t fry. The esc will only give the motors as much as they need. Soā€¦ as long as you arenā€™t going up insane hills they should be fine

Would that just mean i wouldnā€™t get peak performance from the motors?

If you got 2 motors with 900W itā€™s really good enough. I havenā€™t had connection problems. Which motors you wanna use? Iā€™m using the new turnigy 125kV from hobbyking

The motors im looking to use are N6354 270KV motor x2, 2200W each. I am concerned because the eBay esc can only supply 1300watts for each motor thats 900watt diffrence.

The esc just wont support more power. Heatsinks / plate is also recommended as merioned earlier

Itā€™s better to have a motor which can handle more power than max esc power. You donā€™t need to worry about your motor itā€™s perfect. I also use a 2000W motor for a 1300W esc.
