@kenna22 What is the axle size of the Elofty Direct Drive? Is it a 12mm axle inside the motor?
@b264 You have already seen my reply on the other thread but this is for everyone else. If ends are 8mm, then main shaft does look 12mm to me.
because of the seller rating^^ but i said it was a description error. Btw what are those nuts for? doesnt the wheel press the motor in?
Some guy wanted 4 motors instead of 2. Haha. So it’s not really the seller’s fault.
They appear to be for holding the motor on the axle
yeah, but doesnt that do the nut that holds the wheel?
anyone get one yet? for science!
They advertise the motor to be rated at 75A@50V. So that makes it 3750 Watts, the wires are pretty thin though. Standard waterproof connector commonly seen these days.
@b264 is correct it hold the motor on the axel… Jerrys torque drive (exp drives) mount the exact same way. that was one of the many excuses for six months.there is pictures here in one of threads of him posting using a nut to hold the motors on having a threaded nut to hold the motor for easy replacing he said…
car salesmen are grounded by some standardized tests and can’t tell you farrarri hp numbers when trying to sell u a pinto but in eskate the motor testers are riding in a magical winter wonderland where motors stay so cold you can advertise thousands of watts continuous. No magnet max temp ability given ever.

No idea I was making a joke.
Any mods here? Why are kenna22’s post being flagged? I had asked him to come here and answer our questions.
Really nice looking stuff and hope to see it out there soon but can you tell us what the magnet max temp is and what electrical resistance and kv?
I suspect it’s due to the owner of the site having a competing product. Not the first time direct drive motor links have gotten taken down…
