I didn’t think about the brake but thats true even my 97mm clones can slide with a hard brake!
I put some kegels on my board for a bit to test out and it would slip on acceration too with 14/36t. I think a dual drive could easily be used to start a slide. maybe some freeride bindings to keep it going?
