Diy battery pack using Basen 26650 hi drain Li-ion cells

I Think the their 12s chargers are 4a and their 10s and below are 5a. I preferred to slow charge at 2a but the 2a chargers are just not made to handle the job. At least the one I got on eBay wasn’t

2amps on a 10s and above is almost an unbearable wait time when all you want to do is ride. Those four amp chargers will take a 12s4p from red to green in about 2.5 hours in my experience.

That’s why I just charge overnight most of the time  I do have a fast charger that I can use as well though; it’s just so loud.

I was charging overnight so time didn’t matter. Just the charger I got on eBay is having problems after just a couple full charges.

I personally got myself a Boosted power supply. It is made by MeanWell and is actually high quality. They should have one that is rated at 42v or 48v and adjustable.

I got the Boosted official one because I am using the same battery pack.

That sounds like a good idea.

where did u get ur nickel strip

You Welcome

hey what bms did you use i am going to probably copy what you did. if you got that crazy amount of range then i might just drop 4 cells and only use 16.

To order from these guys you send them an email with your request and they will assign a customer service rep who will be your contact throughout the purchase process. Their shipping is fast and reasonable unlike Supower. The amp and voltage limits are adjustable at the factory. They will email you a spec sheet. Then you respond with acceptance or tell what changes you want. There communication is very good. http://bestechpower.com/37v10spcmbmspcbforli-ionli-polymerbatterypack/PCM-D223V1.html

oh wow thank you! are they good for their price? they seem very high quality

I think they’re the best you can get presently. Price wise they are very reasonable considering the quality and the built in E-switch. You save $60 not having to buy a HV switch.

Do you have to charge with the e-switch on?

Yes switch on to charge

Hi @Namasaki, loved your build - just wondering where you sourced the LED power meter display from? I have done a quick EBay, Amazon and Mouser search, but nothing similar with a metal enclosure popped up. Thanks!

Sorry @Namasaki, I should have also asked about where you sourced your (non-momentary) LED power switch from. I assume it is waterproof/IP65 rated?
