Thankyou i will givw it a try asap
Well it works not sure exactly what happened as all i done was re download last night flashed and it worked straight away.
Nice! I like the color choice for your enclosure. And the buttons are cool as well. Are they printed?
The deck a trucks look familiar.
Hello all,
I’ve just received my screens from aliexpress and tried to install the davega. But the screens keeps beeing white. Can someone please assist me? I’m on the 1.0 hardware received from janpom.
Yeh i hacked and slashed the irdesighn case to fit a 2.2inch screen and to suit my needs
Hi, sorry, I got your message but haven’t had time to respond yet. This is weird since I have tested all boards before shipping. Did the package look like it might have got some beating?
Have you tested if you can update the FW? If not, please try that first. If that works, it’s probably a bad display. If it doesn’t work, the board is probably broken and it’s not worth debugging. I can just send you another one.
Wow, that’s neat! Would you share the stl files with us?
No the package was fine. I’ve ordered 3 display (one was broken), they all display white.
I did try to upload the firmware but still have the issue.
Just to be clear: The FW upload was successful?
Tryied again, i have this error now
Did you install the driver? Did you select the right com port/board? Did you solder/buy the parts yourself?
When you tried installing the FW before, did it work without this error? Please double-check your Arduino IDE settings are correct as @Mich21050 suggests. https://github.com/janpom/davega#configuring-and-installing-firmware
If you can’t get the FW updated, that’s likely a bad board. I believe you have the DIY kit as well, right? Do you think you could try assembling that one and see if you can get it working? That way we would rule out there’s a problem in the display or in the Arduino IDE setup.
Ok i will build the diy kit and keep you posted. Thank you
Yeh when I get some time ill put it up on thingiverse as a remix
Have tried uploading the sketch, but am getting the error
‘avrdude: ser_open(): can’t open device “\.\COM9”: Access is denied.’
Any idea?
Are you sure you selected the right com port? Did you install the driver which is mentioned on @janpom 's github? You could try running Arduino Ide with administrative privileges…
Restarted PC and it worked without issue. Thank you for your help
so i finish soldering the diy kit. Same issue on both pcb. I’ve installed ubuntu, and tryied to upload from there, same problem.
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding
I really don’t understand…
Maybe try the other USB-UART adapter. Do you have any regular Arduino on hand?
