What an awesome contribution @riako . Really cool!
thx Timo! But its all because of you, and your amazing parts! hehe
I have made the spacer/adapter to hold rims and sprocket together (who integrate a bearing):
Hey e-riders !
the holes are done! Well, I made a dual kit for now … the same to do once again :
The centering drilling helper works fine, for sure that’s not of the greatest precision or CNC work, but it does the job : After the 1st drill, put a screw in place (to ensure the blocking rotation around the centering axis) You could also repeat it for the second hole/drill Done! 3 others to do
Here is the Bergmeister spacer adapter for the wheel sprocket, with an integrated bearing seat. It looks fine too : Here it is SurfRodz bearing for the test on the Supercarve truck… Then I have to drill the motor sprocket with an m4 threaded.
To be continued …
…like mine…
…or like these…
Sikk!! Are those extensions for sale?
I have a TB Freeflow that could use a set
Love this one It will be perfect if I have a 18650 pack I guess, but here I’m too narrow to could use it…
I will think about it during the R&D of my next custom deck I would see that with the drop setting!! (Maybe even at the rear only)
This WE I tried to set the all thing together … but,… I don’t have the right screw in stock (M5x55, I’ll have them soon), just a few mm missing :
More waiting …
Hey guys
They should arrived tomorow !!
I’m late on some welding now (with the 4 VESCs) … I have to find time to work on that this WE. Maybe just make the 1st test in dual again, then pass it to AWD to feel more the changing!
Also, I’m printing the enclosure mold,… it takes so long … I will make the surprise last a little longer. After assembling the prints together I have to make the negative of it in one peace/shape, then bag it and vacuum with resin and fiber etc = rendez-vous in 2019 for this part !! Hahaa I would love to make a vacuum press for plastic and abs enclosure on day.
I guess I have forgotten this point ^^
Like I say in another topic :
it’s just laid out for the photo (with the evolve trucks and mount ^^… but it should be for the Kahua truck). Now my printer resurrects, I will start to 3D print and study the mount more detailed before to make the real one!
Also the 1st post is updated
I set the rear drive this WE, now the screws are a bit too long … But it works!
I have now to cut the chain to the right length and … make it spinning
I feel like the Evolve mount are a bit too short (but I have to test it ^^ ) and the chain will work easier with the front drive (in this case I will make 2 others custom mounts … but it take times) :
to be continue …
Hey e-riders,
I got all the mechanical stuff set together !
I made the same on the front side :
I got my two pairs of chain done. I drill and thread the 4 sprockets (not the best work, but it works) :
Now the biggest problem is that I have lost a VESC somewhere … I hope that he did not leave accidentally in the trash, remained in a package
In the meantime, I will prepare it in dual rear, and maybe still do a little beauty below the board (because the top is absolutely beautiful, but then the bottom I’m absolutely not a fan … unlike the bamboo axis).
Good last Sunday 2018
Ok…, I’m sad about that loss, I don’t know where did I put this fµ€k!ng VESC but I don’t find it anymore aaah
So,… ashamed super quick mounting to could finally make a 1st ride with this Bergmeister wheels in 2018 ! As I havn’t change yet the rear motor connectors, I will put the sweety little tiny risky Mini VESC4.20 ready to go (always with the 10s 5Ah 45c Graphene). I make a quick motor detection cause I don’t know if I have switched motor and thats all.
For the front, I put the standard hanger back : It’s just for tomorrow and if it doesn’t rain ^^
This is looking good
I’m really curious how these motors will perform, hopefully runs cool, I was thinking today, my 5055’s have the same stator size as these and Evolve’s 5065, driving in grass for less than 100m was enough to reach 100°C
The Bergermeister wheel looks really good
Thanks Pedro ! I run them cool since this summer on the Mad Surfer. I think in AWD it will be perfect I also make a/one ride with 8", it smooth more hot than with 107mm for sure but I still could take it in hand so … I’m really really happy with them, and for the price I can say anything I guess.
Edit : yes, Haggyboard made an awesome work with them, I can not anymore to watch them for a month
Somehow I missed the fact that it will be 4WD, this will be a beast for sure
I have to test one ! Not sure it is the ideal setup for this (I also got a lowered/dropped downhill 9 plis, stiff, w concave, Madrid deck that could be better and more precise), but this duo looks so cool, I have to make a test :
Also like I said, this quattro setup of sprocket coast me around 15€, I got to test this during my GD prototyping, after I’m planning to sell this trucks or maybe keep them for my hub motor project : Just have to make this gear compatible and CNCs the mounts for really and the Gear drive is good to go
Now this is a build! Very nice!
