Have you thought about space/weight? How much volume does an 18650 10s4p use? How much volume does a 26650 10s4p use? How much volume does a 21700 10s4p use?
The weight and space are available, yes I’ve thought about them that’s exactly what is going on thinking of an upgraded battery hah
For 6.4mm wider, 9.4mm shorter, and 1.5mm thinner you could’ve had a 12S4P pack. With Sanyo 18650GA cells, that would be 604.8Wh, 10S4P 20700B comes out to 576Wh, while Samsung 30Q comes out to 518.4Wh
Power wise: The 18650GA cells can provide 10A continuous While the 20700B can provide 15A and the 30Q can do 20A At nominal voltage that means: -12S4P GA: 1728W -10S4P 20700B: 2160W 12S4P 30Q: 3456W
Although I imagine you will be closer to 1000W power draw if you’re trying to make an efficient long distance battery.
Cost: 48 GA cells = €148.80 40 20700B cells = €198 48 30Q cells = €132.00
I think you lost out on this one…
Thanks PXSS for clearification - I am new to this - so I was not smart with my choice - but its done.
I just finished my first 5s4p of those 20700B cells - and now I am asking myself how much mAh does it got? Is it 4200mAh per 4cell pack multiplyed by 5 == 21000mAh?
If you have 5s4p pack then it has to be multiplyed by 4 Do you plan on using that on esk8? because 5s is quite low voltage…
It’s still a solid battery, just a little expensive .
Multiply the capacity of a single cell by however many cells in parallel you have. So if you have 4.2Ah/cell and 4 in parallel, you get 16.8Ah.
I thought it was 4Ah. If it’s 4.2 then you might actually break even with GA cells
I did not mentioned that my charger does only up to 7s dual. so I have to build two 5s4p for charging.
now I will finish the second 5s
I have been looking into building a batyery with ijoy26650 cells, they are awesome looking and want to experiment with them
