I wanted to put the ROXXY ESC as close as possible to the Lipos, so as to avoid fireworks to my left ankle. I also added YGE Caps.

So as to drill the box precisely, I printed 1/1 scaled patterns made with PowerPoint and glued them to the box (UHU school glue).

Dude, yeah definitely keep an eye on those Roxxys. Just had another one light up on a board I built (that’s three now that I know of); and this is with capbanks and pretty short leads. Performance on these things is insane, but I won’t use them anymore!

An XT90 connector is rated to 90A, which means it will melt at currents above this value I assume. Using a 100A fuse is probably not such a good idea or at least will not have the intended effect.

90a continu tho. it handles way more.

The fuse is also made for continuous - it can handle short peaks of way more as well

@bimmer : thanks! no problem with this setup til now and especially no ROXXY fire! The white box is less ugly in real view.

thanks for answering , im looking at different battery setups for my trampa build, hmmm i was hoping for more, 10 km isn’t really that much.

You can use 2x Turnigy Graphene Professional 12000mAh 6S15C LiPo.

I miss room in my box because of the YGE CAPS.

At the time I bought the ROXXY ESCs, VESC6 (or ESCape or B-box or whatever) was not available.

Maybe almost twice. But it depends on many factors. Btw I stop at 3.8 mV per cell.

You could safely get a few more km out of really. There is still quite a bit of juice in the batteries at 3.8V/cell. People usually drain them to 3.6v for max lifecycles
