These items should be in the drawer of any esk8 builder

Just be sure to drink it while you’re building and not while you’re riding :stuck_out_tongue:

Agree this is something that comes out during a late build or after all the riding is done… SAFETY FIRST!!!

I was looking at that very bottle, do you prefer spray or dab-on? For me masking off is no big deal so I went with the can

I prefer to brush it on so I can control where it goes. Also, it helps a lot if you have a blacklight – it does glow, so you can see if you missed any spots

faster than eBay that’s for sure

These nuts are a must. Better than those seen so far on this thread: https://m.ebay.com/itm/10pcs-M6-M8-M10-Four-Pronged-T-Nuts-Captive-Blind-Inserts-For-Wood-Furniture-WZC-/162706543741?varId=461723760129&txnId=1678400456006

Heres a good connector for balance charging: https://m.aliexpress.com/item/32364468173.html

respectfully, they suck. you have to glue them as any deck flex at all will cause them to work loose. The EZ-Lok inserts are way more rugged and stay on place perfectly.

You don’t need to keep them without bolts. Of course they will drop if there’s nothing attached to them. I personally install those between the veneers.

On other hand, i have seen complaints on those ez-locks that they get also loose and doesn’t tolerate much over-tension.

That’s a really good idea, never thought of that.

The ez locks will never get loose if you drill the correct size hole for them. the problem is people measure at the thread and not the body for the drill bit size, but that’s across the board on threaded inserts. I’ve never seen one break when the hole size is correct.

Also, using rubber washers between the bolt head and the enclosure, fr back pressure and vibration support is a good idea. I bought a pack of misc sized rubber washers, 250 pieces, at a plumbing supply store for $6. I doubt I’ll run out for years .

So I’m a little confused about Fish Paper. It doesn’t seem to exist in Australia - maybe we have a different name for it? Is it just electrical tape but stronger? and if you’re wondering why i don’t just buy it from the US, the link for 20 pcs on ebay you have there will cost me $60 AUD! :open_mouth:

It’s more like stiff paperboard than electrical tape. It’s mostly paper but thick and stiff and hard. It may have other ingredients, I don’t know.

oh awesome! I tried ‘insulating paper’ with no good results but ‘Red insulating paper’ seems to do it! I’ve got the rings but hadn’t seen plain sheets of the stuff Thanks man
