Samsung 30T or 40T 12s4p 4WD better for Esk8?

How much are you able to get the 40T’s for?

You can find them all over now

I also recommend Samsung 40T. In my short board 10s2p build I can get 15 miles.

What range with what setup are you getting? How’s the sag on those?

I have a unity and still have stock connections and wondered if the molicel P42A in a 12s2p config with 90 amps continous be too many for the xt60 on the unity? Thanks

Molicel p42a is rated at 30a by mooch

I really like the samsung 40T. I made a ‘small’ board with a 10S2P battery and get around 20km. This dual hub esc pulls max 24A and the pack has exactly the same voltage sag as my previous 10S4P with 30Q cells when pulling 24A.

Both packs costs the same but you get much more range with the 10S4P 30Q of course. IMG_20190409_160157

About how much more range would you estimate?

Curious to hear what people are seeing in the real world.

I’m using my board almost every day and I get like these ranges with my packs and same setup:

10S2P 40T 8Ah -> 18km

10S4P 30Q 12Ah -> 26km

Been using Samsung 40T now for 12S2P, at 344wH capacity. Very little voltage sag compared to 30Q and much more range for less volume/weight. I think good for 2P or 3P setup. 4P and beyond probably overkill and 30Q may be fine. But price of 40T is much cheaper than when this thread started so maybe good option for 2020.

Hi im building a 4wd board. Each motor is 90kv. So i was planning on doing a 12s 5p battery with NESE. 1. Question is that 12 NESE modules to big? 2. Most important ware is a trusted battery supplier for Samsung 40T? Thanks!

I love my 40T’s. It’s all about range. My enclosure can’t fit enough 30Q’s to equal the range I get with 40T’s.
