Real hills and rough roads

As most people are using 4P at 20A isn’t that the the same as 8P at 10A or am I missing something?

which is why i said you should be okay. you normally don’t draw that many amps unless you’re doing crazy hills all the time. Pretty sure i draw less than 40 normally on my dual motor 10s setup.

I use the Alien Power System 5065 270k 2200W motor on a 15/36 ratio. What’s important here on your setup is the low kv of the motor. Don’t make the mistake I made by ordering a 500kv motor hoping to go 50kmph (31mph), and burning through it. Lower kv = higher torque = what you need for hill climbs

I don’t need to go super fast I just don’t want to get passed by a boosted board

Don’t think you’ll have to worry about that

Oh no! It’s the ‘Kilo-Monster’! :fearful:

If all I need is 60A maybe ill do a 12S6P

Have you ridden more than 20miles in a day before? I did 25miles in one day and it was rough. Also you should look at ollins board that has 10s6p using lg he4 I believe that has a 50 mile range. You want amps over mAh because voltage sag

I’m sure I can handle it as I am a professional electric pallet jack driver. A 25lbs skateboard is gonna feel light and nimble compared to a 1500lbs jack!

My humble toolkit

Any suggestions for improving the tool collection would be appreciated.

Dremel, calipers, measuring tape, and a good soldering iron are some of my most used tools. I also got a metric and imperial Allen set to avoid stripping any screws.

Calipers is something I would have never thought of. Are dremels the same or is one better than the others?

Electrical tape for the motor to VESC wires (or heat shrink) and Loctite (blue).

I only did 8 mile today. 4 miles to destination was fine. 2 miles into the return trip, my back leg got numb from the vibrations. Carbon fiber deck doesn’t help any

The brand is Dremel, I use that one

Ya but there’s like six different models to choose from

I have the 4000 corded. Honestly, i have no idea what the difference is between the 4200/4000/3000.

Like so many things there really isn’t a one size fits all 4200 has a quick change which could be good or dangerous I don’t know.

I tried to stay focused on tools today but here I am lost in mosfet land.

Are these wheels going to work?
